I was randomly browsing Play-Asia and I ran across some Phoenix Wright figures. I'm a sucker for a detailed figure, and these are amazing. Unfortunately, they are out of print and stock everywhere. I saw one set on ebay for $180.

If I recall correctly, they were also the prizes of a contest official from Capcom.. what was it again? Something like coloring a comic I guess. I wish I could enter, but I don't live in US lol XD sooo no hopes for me.

I don't own them but if you look at some photos of the real products instead of these sample images, you will see the quality really isn't that good. The paintjob is wonky and the casting not as sharp. Look for yourselves here.

There is another set of Phoenix Wright figurines, called the Houtei collection, but they're barely, if ever, in stock on http://www.play-asia.com. I have seen Pearl, Maya, Mia and Franziska being sold seperately on Ebay, but they were around £20 each. They're a lot better quality, and the paint job is nowhere near as sloppy, but still not exactly perfect. They're close enough for me, though :phoenix:

They're still only 7cm big, so £20 (about $40, for the dollar-minded) is a bit too much, in my opinion, so I guess I'll just have to wait until they're in stock on Play-Asia.

Manga Orbital, the best shop in London, is owned by a Gyakuten Saiban otaku. (When he heard my ring tone he freaked.) Anyways, he said he'd stock some so, I shall buy them. :3

I have the Phoenix one which my friend gave to me. And uh, that's it.

I'm not sure how much it was, but even in a set, they are for sure not worth $180. They're nice, but not super incredibly well made. Whoever is selling them for that much is cray-zee.

I've got a box of them. We had a little rush to get them when they were first released on the older forums.

The box comes with 8 Characters, each with a Attorney's Desk (or Witness stand in Maya's case), and a little clip for their legs so they don't fall over when stood up.

Of the 8 figures, you get one duplicate and one 'special'.

Standard comes Edgy, Mia, Maya, Phoenix, Franny, and Godot. I got an extra Maya, and for my special I got a Visorless Godot.

Yes, Visorless 'Godot' not Kimo-whatever. It also appears to be the most common special. Though, I thought I heard someone got a Karma or a Gumshoe... could be wrong though.

The box the set came in was quite ugly. But the individual packaging was nicely done, and in color to boot.

I have the Maya Houtei figure - I bought it off someone from LJ. I got a bit of a shock when I opened the box though as the figure is all sepia - dunno if the previous owner had it sitting in sunlight or whether it was like that originally, but I had great fun painting it!

I found four of them at Anime Expo for $12. I could only afford two of them, and I got Maya and face toaster-less Godot. :D

My brother found the whole set on Ebay and we bought them for about $60 (it was probably higher but then again I contributed about that much to him)

The first post pics looked absolutely scrumptious until I saw the real closeups.
UGH. Such a rough paint job and so standard. Not worth 180 bucks ><
