Okay, the question I'm going to ask doesn't even make much sense in my head, but I'll try my best anyway. ^_^;

Do Gyakuten Saiban and Ace Attorney use the same English translations? Meaning, is the dialogue and whatever else the same in both the Japanese and American versions of the game?

(Hm, that came out better than I expected...that does make sense, right?)

As far as I know, the translation is the same.

Although I'm not sure if GS for GBA has an english mode, but I know GS for DS does.

Gyakuten Saiban No.1 (2001), No.2 (2002), and No.3 (2004) in their original GBA Japan versions never had an English mode.

They were JAPAN EXCLUSIVE back then until 2005 had their first international releases for the NINTENDO DS.

They definitely didn't do a DIRECT translation (it wouldn't make sense!) but they tryed to make it as much like the original as possible. Some jokes where taken out and some where put in. Other than that, It's as close to the Japanese as it can get.

Edit: I read your post wrong. Sorry. I thought you where asking if It's a direct translation or something from the Japanese game.

On the DS version of GS1, there are a lot of errors/typoes/stuff-that-a-QA-proofreader-would-catch in case 5, but the other cases all seem to be spotless. My guess is that when GS1 DS was released, that one wasn't checked yet... :nick-sweat:

But I don't know if it's the same with the American AA release or not.
