Since the DS has a bit more power than the GBA, AA4, which was built for the ground up for the DS, takes advantage of the extra processing power and storage allowing the characters to blink while talking.

Will the AA1-3 sheets ever be updated in this way, even though the actual games themselves didn't do this, or will someone just do it as a fan undertaking?

Im pretty sure I've seen characters in the first 3 games blink while talking. Im pretty sure they did make them do that for the DS anyway...

They blink while talking even in the first three games. Several of the sheets include frames showing as much, but not all of them have every combination of eyes and mouths. But the gifs should be accurate to the games now.

If for some reason you need Edgeworth's eyes half lidded and lips parted (rawrrrr?) they're easy enough to piece together. Updating that aspect of the sprite sheets isn't much of a priority at the moment.

I stand corrected, the sheets always led me to believe otherwise seeing how only the AA4 sheets had that.
