So, seriously, how do you think the story would change if Phoenix was a woman? I can name some things...
1 - There would be a lot less yaoi.

1 - True, I'll give you that.
2 - Doubt it, since there is (unfortunately) not a lot of Phoenix x Maya art around.
3 - Noted, but since Redd White is a douchebag, he would have punched Phoenix regardless.
4 - Probably true, but then again, Phoenix and Larry might have a different sort of relationship if Phoenix was female. Certainly not the best friend thing they've got going on now.
5. Can't argue with that.
However, if Phoenix was female, it would most likely affect other factors as well, such as the genders of other characters, character interaction and maybe even different characters. However, I do know I would be a Phoenix/Edgeworth shipper is Phoenix was female...

Anyways, if Phoenix were female, quite a few of the male characters would like hi- I mean her more(especially Max... he'd probably do that card trick thing with Phoenix right away instead of waiting five or ten minutes, and he wouldn't insult hi- her).
April could probably stand Phoenix even less than she already does, and he definitly wouldn't be Chinami's boy-/girlfriend. Her best friend, maybe, but definitly not her boy-/girlfriend.
Phoenix and Maya would have a more... sibling-like relationship, with Phoenix treating Maya like a younger sister. Pearl certainly wouldn't tease them about being a couple, though.
I'm sure there are other things that would change, but these are the only ones I can think of right now.

I also have a feeling that maybe Morgan would treat Phoenix more courteously, though with the same amount of two faced insults hidden behind them.
Also, Godot may even call him/her "Kitten" rather than intentionally mispronoucing his name incorrectly. Well maybe not "Kitten", but something similar, only with no hint of endearment behind it.

and DAMN, you two have good eyesight. About 3 pixels are added on the bottom and 2 are taken off the corner of the screen, with the coloring on the left breast changing on the eye close on 3 PIXELS.

...Okay, I just checked. Four times, even, while zooming in, and I don't see it. o_O; I did notice a few stray pixels, though... but that's around the bottom of the sprite. However... part of one of her sprites was... cut off. That's probably what you noticed.
Here's the updated version... the cut-off thing shouldn't happen anymore.

PMSing Phoenix in court would be... oh boy. Poor Edgeworth/whoever is prosecuting.
This thread actually made me work on an entire sprite sheet for Female!Phoenix... No idea when it'll be done, though. The close-up sprites are really hard to edit. x_x

Thanks! XD Actually, I was going to draw her the way you sprited her. Same hairstyle. But when I did man-Phoenix's hairstyle, she still looked like a guy for some reason. O_o Even with boobs. So I played with it a bit.

Practice. Lots and lots of it. And I'm still not as good as some of the people here... in fact, I'm still a beginner compared to some people I've met.
I'm working on another sprite right now, but... well... I'm having a bit of a problem with the outlines. I'll edit this post once it's done.
On-topic... I'm starting to get the feeling that if Phoenix were female, I'd support a bunch of crack pairings involving hi- her. o_o; And I'd probably end up liking Phoenix/Edgeworth...
