Though I am a humble English-speaker that has not played the game personally, hours of viewing the discussions of others has made it obvious that many people were disappointed with the simplicity of the jury-system ending... stating that the major problem with not needing a final piece of evidence was the fact that there was no dramatic climax in which you... presented a final piece of evidence. Though there's obviously no way to change things around now, this led me to wonder...
In order to retain dramatic tension, why didn't the writer(s) replicate what they'd done at the end of recent addition GS1 Case 5?
In that case, the final piece of evidence needed to prevent Damon Gant from escaping justice was the rules of Evidence Law. Since Evidence law only came into play during that particular extra case, the final piece of evidence you threw at Gant was a literal book titled "Evidence Law". This led to the final cooperative push that made Gant go clap-boom.
Anyway, what I'm alluding to is: In GS4 Case 4, there should have been a literal book or pamphlet or simple sheet of paper titled "Rules of the Jury System", which explained the purpose of the system in a few short words (remember "Evidence Law" here). Odoroki could have received this either before Trial Day 1 or Trial Day 2; that doesn't really matter in the long run. Then, instead of merely shoving the jury system before Kirihito's face after several long minutes of conversation, Kirihito could have put forth an absolute demand for evidence that would "render" him guilty or "bring about" a guilty verdict, and Odoroki (and, by extension, the player) would still have the satisfaction of presenting the Jury System booklet and watching Kirihito's stunned reaction as Odoroki and Kyouya patiently tell him just how screwed he was.
The "Yes or No" decision moment would still occur, but now it would merely add to a standard climax instead of being a flawed standard climax in and of itself.
Of course, that would only work for Case 4-4, but who knows how often this system will be used (and how it will be utilized) in the future.
Would this have been a plausible and/or good idea? I am far from the epitome of GS4 knowledge, so you people tell me.
