Why is Kyouya's pointing sprite broken?

I like the animation of it but I can't use it for anything because the last few frames have the lower right corner cut out.

Was there some trouble in capturing it?

You should still be able to use it for most things, in-game the part that's missing is hidden behind the desk. Everything above the desk is intact.

The reason it's missing is because that part is from an incomplete direct rip from the ROM instead of a screen capture (which is why the part behind the desk is visible in the sprite in the first place).

Most of Kyouya's sprites are missing that corner, but it shouldn't make a difference, since that part is supposed to be covered by the bench anyway.
