I don't think the writers are going to commit OTP-icide after being so generous with the first three/four games. They've been marvelously open about Phoenix's potential relationships (Maya, Edgeworth, Iris, even Franziska), and I'm sure they wouldn't jeopardize the popularity of any other major characters (indeed, the series itself) by making such a huge change.

The games are about the court cases in the end, not the soap opera drama.

I don't think this is the type of series that will end with a marriage or any sort of definite canon hook up.
