I was just suddenly comparing the two and realized how many similarities there are between
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney and
Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations.
Let's start with the first cases of both games(with a few references to later cases):
-Of course, Payne is the prosecutor, and the judge is there.
-You control a rookie defense attorney.
-Said attorney is assisted by their mentor/boss.
-Attorney is also older sibling of the teenage girl who will be game's main assistant.
-Case connected to another, older case, which will be played through later.
-Both cases revolve around one true culprit, willing to destroy anything in their way.
-Said culprit will be back on the stand for the last case, which they're also at the center of.
-The siblings of both culprits also play an important role in that last case, which hurts them.
-Both culprits use their siblings to commit at least one crime.
-You are defending Phoenix Wright, who is nothing like he was in the main games.
-He does not make things easy for you at all.
-A necklace in Wright's possession is an important peice of evidence.
-The victim knew the true culprit, was connected to past case as well.
-A violent act was committed just before each murder.
-In both cases, there was a trap planned for Wright that he just manages to avoid.
-Wright wears a gift from an important girl in his life, which bears his name in some way.
-He ate with the true murderer shortly before the crime.
-Defense attorney/defendant will ultimately end up working together at same agency/firm.
Just to name a few.O_O Anyone else notice some?
