But yeah, I sort of agree. The pairing is adorable for what it is, but in the long run I really can't take it seriously. I'll always have a love for the dynamics between them, but I've switched over to being more of a fan of Apollo/Viola.

I mean Miles/Franziska freaks me out a bit although I can make myself look past it there on occasion since they aren't blood related. Apollo and Trucy are actual blood-related siblings and it makes me cringe to think of them as having anything but sibling feelings for one another. I'm not a big incest shipper. As siblings though, they are adorable.

But it brings an interesting concept: Halfcest. You don't see those every day, unlike "OMG, HAWT GAVINCEST! FANGIRL SQUEEEEEEEE111!!!111111" or "SKYECEST. ME HORNY FANBOIIII!" or any of the other incest pairing in other series. While I'm not a fan of halfcest either, it's still quite interesting.

You know, I only support incest pairings as major, MAJOR crack. And there's only one that I support as the crackiest pairing ever.

As much as I'd like to think Pearls is the daughter of Phoenix and Iris and that she's also Trucy with new identity and a one year gap in age, I don't believe it's going to be that way.

I wouldn't count on it. Both Apollo and Trucy share a special trait which could only have past down to them through their mother as this trait is special to their mother's family. I'm not trying to discourage you from shipping them (there are plenty of people who ship incest couples even if I'm not one of them), but they are siblings.

I'm not sure where this idea that "incest is okay in Japan" is coming from, because I've seen just as much Asian media where it's portrayed as extremely icky as it is kinky or acceptable. Just becuase it happens in doujin doesn't make it "okay."
