Spoiler: 4-4
Just out of curiosity, how long is the flashback case in which you play as Phoenix?

Spoiler:
Umm...a little shorter than a normal first case would be? 4-1 was actually pretty long as far as first cases go, so it's much shorter than that. The flashback goes through two witnesses like 1-1, so I guess it's about that long...?

The Mason System that follows, however, is a full investigation phase, so all together it definately feels pretty long.

OK, sorry, this must be the only thing I haven't spoiled myself about: what is the Mason System?

Saying anything about the Mason System is a pretty big spoiler. You might as well read the entire case summary.

Do Phoenix & Ema meet? Are the events from Case 5 brought up/mentioned?

Spoiler:
Case 5 is only mentioned as "that time Phoenix helped Ema out." They meet during the game but it's always off screen (never when Apollo is around).

Does the first case have 3D evidence and all the other DS and/or AJ only systems?

3D evidence and the Perceive System, yes.

Spoiler: relates to above answer
If there is 3D evidence in the first case, why didn't it appear in the demo? They had the technology to do so, and it would've given it a bit more of a wow factor. (This is still 1 question, just. XD)

Spoiler:
Can you manipulate 3 items in flash? Even if you can, I'd say they prevented you from doing it for plot reasons. The demo only goes as far as getting the grape juice bottle in terms of evidence, and you can't search it properly until much later in the case. (Well, you can search it, but you don't *find* anything until much later). So even if they included being able to examine evidence in 3D you only would have been able to check the attorney's badge and the bottle, and neither have anything that could be presented.

In court, does this game follow PW:AA's exclamation mark system, JFA/T&T's green life gauge or something else (and if it's something else can you please elaborate).

Spoiler:
Drew made them. He was keeping track of Wright & Co. and drew those pictures of the cases because of the interest he had in them, and their connection to Phoenix.

I know I've posted one before, but I've a question that's really doing my head in (and since AA's gonna be released over here when hell freezes over, I'd like to know now).

Does this game's 4th case follow the the other games in the AA series in that, there is a 'special guest' prosecutor as opposed to the 'main' prosecutor (in AJ's case, :rock'n:)?

Well, yeah, that's the first time you get to USE it, but it's laid out for you

In the second case, the first time you use it is hinted, but you still have to work to find it, and by the second time you use it in 4-2, you're on your own.

Given that they show the moment right after Zak or Valant accidentally shoot Thalassa after the gunshots, it could be a reference to that incident as well.

EDIT: When I first made the post I thought you were just referring to the Magnifi shooting, but I see that you could also have been referring to the Thalassa shooting as well.

Spoiler: 4-3/4-4 Spoiler Question
Q: If Lamiroir is Thalassa and Thalassa can perceive lies (since it is carried by those in the Gramarye bloodline) then could Lamiroir perceive when peopled lied to her- even though she could not see and didn't have any memory of her past life during 4-3?

Note: According to the game Apollo could sense when people were lying, even though he couldn't specifically see their habit. So it is possible that Lamiroir could sense it but obviously not see it.

Spoiler:
It's possible that as Lamiroir she could still sense people lying, but didn't know that's what it was: Zak describes the sensation as the person tensing up. With no memory of her power and not being able to see, chances are Lamiroir experienced that sensation but never understood it...?

It's never explained, but it is an interesting topic.

I haven't done this, but some people have said that if you examine the couch in the defendant's lobby while in the Mason system, Phoenix will make a remark that some people have interpreted as a reference to when Wellington hit him with a fire extinguisher in 2-1. That's about it, I think.

Spoiler: Minor
Apollo, Ema, and possibly a few other characters make multiple references to things like Phoenix's past cases (including 1-5)

Author:  Croik [ Sun Mar 16, 2008 2:35 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: "I just want to know one thing" - FAQ Thread

References in AJ~

Spoiler:
In 4-2 there are two references to 1-5: Apollo mentions a case of Phoenix's where "an important clue was stuffed in a car muffler." Later, Ema talks about how Phoenix once helped her out of a jam.

In 4-4 Apollo remarks to how rare it must be to die from having poison put in your coffee, followed by a brief, awkward silence.

In 4-4 Valant mentions that he and Zak won the Magician's Grand Prix, earning them a custom made bust, which Phoenix recognizes as being a familiar occurance.

Like someone said earlier, in the Mason System examining the sofa in the defense lobby prompts Phoenix to say that after a certain case he never let anyone sit on that sofa ever again. Bad luck!

Then there are the recurring characters, like the mention of Maya (who sent Phoenix a pile of stuff in 4-2), Dr. Hotti, Larry (who can be seen on the lawn of the Sunshine Coliseum) and even Charley the plant.

Also, the creators have said flat out that AJ takes place after T&T and is not AU.
