I've noticed that some characters from GS4 are similar to characters from the previos games, but also different. I'll give you one comparison that I got, which is actually two in one

Kirihito Garyuu - Chief Gant Damon and Joe Darke Joe Darke
To give a quick recap,
Spoiler: 1-5
Gant was a man who played around with the evidence to get what he wanted. He wanted control of the police and prosecutors office, and he got it. Then, many years later, he found out people, were still asking, and killed Goodman. Despite being under huge pressure, he almost tricked Nick into presenting his evidence TOO EARLY and getting off scott free. And then he still kept it together afterwards.

Then we have Mr. Darke. He accidently killed someone and freaked out. He became seriously paranoid, and killed anyone that he thought knew about his secret. Then, he felt guilty and turned himself in. But he flared off again and was involved with the killing of another.


NOW: I may be seeing things, but surely Kirihito has aspects of BOTH these men!

Spoiler: GS4
He began like Gant, wanting Phoenix's position and prestige. And he got it, by being underhanded. But then the guilt and paranoia set in, after Zakku escaped. He spent the next seven years in fear of being caught, and spent those seven years, destroying ANY evidence that linked him to the crime. He was SO SCARED of being caught that he didn't attempt to silence any of the witnesses in the normal way, instead using ingenious (but flawed) methods. (Hints of Gant here too) It may also be why he decided to pin the Crime on Phoenix, with Masaka as the fall back if Nick managed to get off. (While his acts were driven by paranoia like Darke, he didn't act like him, as Darke just killed people regardless)

Then, he is SO DEPENDANT on the fact there is no evidence, that he freaks out when he realised what the jury could do and showed his true colours. (like Joe Darkes Freakout at the station)


It's also interesting that it was the same team who did RftA who Did GS4, and I don't think thats a co-incidence :F Have you got any interesting and thoughtfull comparisons?

Plus:

Kirihito is much more like Chinami. Both have something against Phoenix. Both used poison. Both killed someone who'd interfere in their plans. Both have siblings. Both shout and behave like demons in their breakdowns. Both are good covering their tracks until the end. Both torment those around them. Both have long hair they play around with. Both take good care of their appearance. Both seem cute the first time you meet them. Both appear in the first and last case of their respective games. Both get in jail in the first case, and get called back to court in the last. Both make Phoenix do STUUUUUUUUPID stuff in the first case. Both make Phoenix do AAAAAAAAAWESOME stuff in the last case.

...Does that seem enough?

EDIT: NO. It seems they were even born on the same year. This has obviously escalated from freaky to WHAT THE FUCK FREAKY. (Plus, it seems April May was born on that same year even. 1993 brought us some twisted people indeed.)

Which is exactly why Kirihito should use the Mason System to travel back seven years in time and propose to Chinami. It's a perfect match.

Mugitsura and Igarashi. Both are grumpy, stubborn old men who carry around a food item of some sort: Mugitsura has the noodle hair, and Igarashi has the bird pellet things.

Akane and Igarashi. Both like to use food as projectiles.
