A lot of famous Southern attorneys always cut short the Objection. If you can find audio of the following men you'll know what I mean.

Richmond Flowers
John L. Hill
L. Lin Wood
Fred Turner
G. Thomas Davis

Maybe they were trying make Kristoph sound like the Southern Gentry?

His voice isn't deep enough. Sounds like they pulled some high school kid off the street to record his voice.

I thought his "objection" was a bit rushed, but was decent overall as far as tone. It was powerful and confident as it should have been. I could see that voice bringing a loud room to a halt and silencing the opposition. I'm not really fond when the voices get too deep because they sound fake to me.

His objection was alright, but I felt that it was WAY too rushed. I was expecting it to be a bit calmer though. I do like Apollo's though now that I have heard it (doesn't listen to sound files) so at least I got a voice that I can tolerate throughout the game!!! ^^

I dislike this objection a lot. The suave tones used in Japanese are far better, and find it's very in-character for his voice to not sound fazed no matter how desperate the situation.

Hell, I made an attempt myself, if you can get this damn website to play it for you.

Should probably be a bit stronger though. *nervous glance*

Yeah...That "Objection" sounded weak...

But as for Klavier's current Objection, I find it...Very, very odd....

For a man who has a calm demeanor, his objection sounds really shitty.

Pray to the heavens that Klavier's voice isn't terrible, or else suffer the insufferable fury of fandom.

He didn't sound all that calm in the dialogues either, for some reason, but except for his cut off Objection (which, that's true, isn't all that uncommon... but still) I'm pretty fine with that. Is he that much of a drunken poet in the Japanese game, too?

I-I hope I don't sound like some massive weaboo here, but...I really didn't like those D: Apollo's sounds...too deep and rough, and Kristoph's sounds too forceful. I don't care about the missing 'O', I just don't think they fit the characters, compared to the Japanese version D: To be fair, I don't like Naruhodou's voice at all xD;

I hope that Klavier gets a good one; his 'Igiari!' is definetly the sexies- I mean, best out of all of the games. I'll be sad if it turns out poorly done :C

I just realized that Apollo sounds almost exactly like that bully at that one school...

As for Kris...sy's (Seriously, it's become my nickname for him. I blame Darzie and Mo) Objection, I found it okay. It actually sounds like a real Objection, unlike Godot's OHB-JECTION and Mia's UBJICTION, IMO. I don't mind the almost non-existant 'O'.

YES. :gant:

Anyways, I find Krissy's objecting hilarious. You CAN hear a slight 'b' there though. SO it's more like a subtle 'BJECTION. Oh, how we laughed.

I really love Apollo's English voice, it sounds a lot like the Japanese VA that played him in the promo trailer. Apollo's big thing is his enthusiasm and his super loud voice, so it's great to hear his new actor live up to that.

But Kristoph... ugh, I hate it XD;. I thought the whole demo made him come off as a wanker rather than a cool and collected gentleman. "Justice doesn't start small." Makes him sound like a dweeb cracking an unfunny joke ;_;

Maybe it's punishment for him having the most appropriate and tasteful of the English names so far. At this rate, Klavier's objection must be AWESOME.

I doubt the average Phoenix Wright player would get that - almost no-one is actually in the court scene. But who knows? They've had a lot of obscure references.

I actually liked Kristoph's Objection. At least the voice was just what I imagined. It was a little too rushed though, but his dialogue was kinda weird.

Maybe he can't say the letter O and that's why he calls Apollo just Justice? jk

Not really. Apollo's and Payne's objections were pretty damned clear. Kristoph's more than likely is as well.

I'll go to my GameStop today, download the demo, and see for myself. You know that they'll have GOOD music and the true sounds on the actual DS demo.

And here we have it from a pro. So this means that if Kristoph were to be calm, he WOULD have to just say it.

By the way, go listen to his Igiari on the CR site, and tell me what you think of that. Much better, yes?

Well, this whole thing boils down to emphasis.

Phoenix, Edgeworth and Apollo all emphasize the the first part of the word, the "Obje".

Kristoph emphasizes the latter part, the "jection", much like I do.

Naturally, everything will sound second-rate when compared to Edgeworth's batte scarred velvet voice. Which sounds just like a young John Doar........but that's beside the point.

As for Apollo, a 22 year old rookie attorney would not sound like a 30 year old veteran. It's not proportionate.

Actually all this talk of voices reminds me of work today. I was assigned to help this newly hired prosecutor, William Dass, with a case. It was his first so it was my job to second chair him and make sure he knew what he was doing. I met him in the hallway (like Kristoph and Apollo) and he sounded like he was going through a second puberty. In Court, his objections sounded like a cat scratching a chalkboard.

But I did have us time an objection at the same time, just to piss off the Judge. It worked.

Yes, we timed it perfectly. I passed him a note saying, "When snap my fingers, stand up and yell objection as best you can." He nodded like a bobble head doll. He didn't know I was going to say it with him.
