As I was playing case 2-4, I noticed the name of the Kitaki's rival family is Rivale. Now, not only is that incredibly lame, but whatever happened to the Cadaverinis? If the Kitaki and Rivale family are having so many disputes, I'm pretty sure the city isn't big enough for three mobster families.

What's your opinion on this? I think they should have used Cadaverinis instead. I think that woulda been a cool reference.

Also, there was that mobster family that Dee Vasquez was connected to, but it's not given a direct name, so it could've been one of these.

Cadaverinis were an underground crime mobster family while the Kitaki/Rivale are side-street gangsters who often engaged in turf wars. We'll they very similar concepts and beliefs, they "op" er... operate very differently as they have different goals at the end of their path. The Cadaverinis were about having power over millions of dirty dollars and having control over the underground while the Kitaki focus on control their territory (with honor, of course) while making a profit at the same time. Not to mention, anything could have happened during the 7 year gap inculding the downfall of the Cadaverinis. Honestly, I say they did the job right when it came to design the mobster families in the AA games.
