Just started this case up and I must saw our little Apollo is growing up fast. Already he's coincidentally at the wrong (right?) place at the wrong time and finds himself smack dab in the middle of a murder trial. He even was a key witness of sorts.
Phoenix would be proud.

....though I feel like he's coming off as weaker than Phoenix since Gavin doesn't sweat very often and in both this trial and the prior it seems Gavin was on top of all the turnabouts. I really don't think Apollo has had a chance to make his mark yet.
Especially this trial, Gavin was running the show the whole first half.

(btw am I the only one who thinks Woky looks like Naruto when he was angry?)

Well, in fairness, had Edgeworth chosen to go only for the win in 1-5, Phoenix would not have won, and he DEFINITELY would've lost 1-2 if not for Deus Ex Mia.

By the way, did anyone else have absolutely no clue what was so strange about the piano playing? I just guessed I had to present the Mixing Board because I knew it had something to do with music. Fortunately they provided the hand explanation so I had a clue what to do next.

One thing that bugged me to heck: When you have to find the contradiction in the video (to prove how the trick was done; you have to present the Brooch), if you present the video itself, you get a penalty. I was thinking it was like case 1-5, where you had to find the contradiction in the video and choose it. Turns out it wasn't. Weird.

Er...I believe you will be requested to point out which part of the piano playing is unnatural after you present the Mixing Board?

You can call me whatever you want:3

Spoiler: 4-3 piano
As far as the piano thing goes, I thought the problem lied in the fact that the switch was found INSIDE the piano... If he'd have hit the right note, that could have triggered the switch. I'm not knowledgeable in Pianos so I don't know how they work but I figured that was possible. That's why I presented the Mixer... so I could listen for a stray note that sounded out of place.

Spoiler: @ above post
It was pretty obvious that the part that sounded weird was the part where the guitar caught fire. Even if you didn't figure it out (I didn't, I'm dumb lol) you don't get a penalty if you get it wrong. And you have a 20% chance of getting it right (...or was it 25%?)

Actually, I think that is quite possible.

Hmm... I had thought this at one point as well, but if one inspects a piano more closely, it's not really possible. I won't go into depth here, but considering the size and shape of the switch and the way the piano's hammers move up to hit the strings, it wouldn't be possible without taking the piano apart or using a very specially made switch.

Spoiler:
I haven't seen the switch/piano in question.

But it could be assumed that someone who'd tuned the piano (they would have of had had to move it at one point, so it would need tuning) could have added it.

Spoiler: Piano
I totally know what you mean! When the piano part came up I was convinced that he had it set under piano string that would trigger when he hit a certain note, which would explain how he did it without a free hand. When the piano part came up I just guessed until I moved forward. The designers relized this part was vague so no life was on the life and there was only 4 choices so it was just a matter of time.

I also agree with the "what evidence they want" crap. The game informer review said it best. "Why can't I present the knife or the PICTURE of the knife." its all the same thing.

I hope the creators in the future expand what evidence will work. I'm tired of my thoughts being dashed because I can't grab Apollo by the shoulders and scream in his face.

(Cut the bit of your quote with the spoilers, as I'm not there yet.) But I think part of the issue with making multiple pieces of evidence work is that they then have to write multiple conversations. (It's not up yet, but I sent Croik a script for the rest of 3-4, and there's a LOOOONG sequence where you can present either of two pieces of evidence, then lots-of-talky-talky, prompt for evidence where you present whichever you didn't before, and then more talky-talky to a point where the two versions can meet back up. It's a lot of text for a very small difference in what you present, and either way you have to have figured out what the contradiction is to try either one.)
