Personally, I don't know what Klavier's talking about. I mean, it doesn't stand out any more than Nick's did pre-PaPa hat... at least to me.

My guess is that Klavier not only likes to tease women (*cough* Ema), but Apollo as well. It kinda would have made sense if he made fun of his hair stalks, but whatever works I suppose. :/

I think that the hair has something to do with it, as odd is it might seem. Not sure why, but...there it is.

Klavier didn't know Phoenix pre-PaPa hat (unless he does in case 4, I haven't played it yet). It does look large because he slicks his hair straight up, and having his animations reflect the light on it and constantly putting his finger on it doesn't help, either.
