So... AA:AJ isn't a conversion, it's a new game especially for the DS.

YET it doesn't have a number of very basic things that would have been very helpful.

They could have finally added the option to start the game from any previously reached save point... or they could have added an options menu to alter the sound and music levels and text speed!

:(

You hit the high points, Mr. D. I'd also like the option to force alternate sprites to replace the "freeze...freeze...OK, now react" sprites (Yogi's snot bubble pop being the most egregious mistake in the series) following the first play of that sprite.

A little more voice-acting perhaps?
I mean, I definitely thought whilst watching that video 15 times+ that it would have been a lot better with some actual singing.

Or maybe I'm just a bit spoilt after games like Professor Layton.

Personally, I'd like the backgrounds during investigations to be more dynamic. Not over the top, but it seems a bit odd to see a guard standing frozen there all the time..

This. I could live without the characters actually speaking, save for the occasional "OBJECTION!," but when I hear a song with words I except to hear actual words.

Multiple save points slots would be another godsend....

A little more scientific work would've been nice. It seemed like the new forensic features were not presented quite as well or as smoothly as they were in PW 1-5.

Presenting profiles, like someone already mentioned, would have been nice. I was so confused when you couldn't present profiles.

Some more scientific work would have been nice, too...

It would have been fabulous if they had actually had someone singing guitar's serenade. >.< I also agree with options mode. Its annoying when you're replaying a case and you screw up something because you weren't able to catch the question.

And there totally needs to be a scene select thing via start at the last major save point. That would be so awesome~
It's far from over, and you're far from alone.

I felt many of the new features implemented in the game were underused. Honestly I wanted more cases JUST so I could do more scientific investigating and perceiving. Not to mention they had psyche locks in the game, which while it IS nice, the fact that there were more psyche lock sequences in the game than there were opportunities to perceive made me a little sad (I think there were like 5 or 6 psyche locks and 4 or 5 perceives).

I seem to remember a lot more then just four or five perceives. Maybe I'm just remembering wrong though.

Hmm I dunno, I could have sworn that was just about the right number... I think there were two in 4-2, two in 4-3, and one in 4-4. Maybe I'm remembering wrong? Either way I still find the number of perceives versus the number of psyche locks disheartening.

Oh wait I think there were two in 4-4 as well. So a total of six? I'm probably still forgetting a couple....

There are definitely two in 4-2, and two in 4-4. I think there are...3 or 4 in 4-3, I need to replay that case again to double check. That would make for a total of 7 or 8.

Personally, I would have preferred to see more cases. While I enjoyed 4-4, it was kind of on the short side. 5 cases would have been nice.

The one thing that boggles my mind is why they removed the silhouette of the defending attorney from the "play box" on the lower screen. I mean, it was just really cool to see the meancing silhouette of Phoenix Wright, wagging his finger at you, and
Spoiler: 3-5
Edgeworth's profile during part two.
