Requirements:

English/Latin comprehension.
Ability to tie genders to objects.

I advise against learning it unless it's seriously needed(End of world?
).The only name changes that surprise me are the judge and Ivy University. But now that I've given them a second glance, it kind of makes sense.

Maybe they changed Klavier's name since it means "piano" in german - and since he plays guitar it would sound odd? Lol, only good reason I can imagine. >.<

Naming someone after an object is pretty odd in general (here) XD I don´t think it really mattered that he didn´t play the Piano.
Kantilen doesn´t sound any less strange, but since i don´t know the true meaning it doesn´t freak me out so much.
