Yes, you read right. GS was released in Japan today for the iPhone/iPod touch. It's only 115 Yen to download (about AUD$1.70) the first case, while the second case is 230 Yen. Reportedly, GS1 cases 3, 4 and 5 is meant to be released later this month so stay tuned...

The game has some pretty good graphics and it's sound is really good. Surprisingly, Capcom delivered a really good DS to Ipod conversion. If you want the game, head iTunes and check the Japanese section.

You wrote GS Case 3-5, and it sounds like AA3, Case 5. Try "GS1 cases 3 to 5." I'm that much of a nitpicker.

Anyway, this was fast.
What do you mean it has good graphics? They look like compressed versions of the DS graphics.

Sorry, that was my mistake. I made the changes to the first post. Also, I personally think the graphics are good because even though it's a bit compressed, they aren't blurry and just really bad like most conversions to smaller hand held devices.

There are 3 options available in the first screen (+space for a fourth one), do any of you know what they mean?

Actually, the iPhone when held vertically, is still wider in pixels then the DS screen. They had a choice of either putting a border around the screen, like they did on the Wii and PC, or scale the background. They opted to scale the background and push the dialog box below the 'top screen'.

Regarding graphics, is it just me, or do those sprites look awfully tiny?

It could be but according to my two dictionaries by my side, those kanji actually mean　こうにゅう which translates to Purchase/Buying something so it's probably a function for getting those new cases.

They do look tiny don't they? Even objecting and speed lines have sprites that are awfully small.

You need an iTunes Japanese music card to download the game, however, if you google japanese itunes voucher and click on the first link (JBOX), you can order a card from there.
