I've never seen the bad ending. :(

I almost did the first time I played (I thought I was supposed to present the tape to Matt, not de Killer, to remind him he'd destroyed the deal between himself and the assassin), but I cheated and restarted the game when Franziska's reaction to the evidence tipped me off that I'd done something wrong.

When I read about it, though, I did feel sad. Up until I read about the typo.... :P

I think the most disturbing thing about the bad ending is the fact you can picture him pretty much killing himself, after it.

That's what irked me, about the whole thing. Typo, or no.

:odoroki: my ass! stop lying

no but seriously, did that make you sad?

Hey,

It's not just you. I found that ending very sad too, with Phoenix wandering the streets alone, no friends. He never sees Maya again. :( The haunting Steel Samurai theme conveys the emotion nicely. Maya really likes the Steel Samurai, and the theme is usually lively and upbeat (like Maya herself a lot of the time) so slowing the theme down, and playing it in a sad way shows Maya must have changed too. She is very sad, angry at Phoenix, maybe lonely.
I wonder if thats how Phoenix became a hobo too...

On a related note, I read a shortfic (drabble?) on ff.net where Phoenix left the country in disgrace. He eventually ran into De Killer and, per his initial suggestion, became his accomplice. Then he knocked him off (well, he did kidnap Maya) and became the next "Killer" and used his skills to kill people that had escaped legal justice. I think the story ended with him going after Matt.

I kind of like that vision of the bad ending, even if it is a bit gritty and extremely OOC.

In all honesty, the worst thing, other than the sadness of never seeing Maya again and, pretty much, throwing your life away was letting Engarde win.

I felt that there was no way, no way in hell I would let that guy win. When seeing Phoenix in that trenchcoat, running away from his life forever, I received a very strong imagine of Matt Engarde, smiling in a triumphant, evil manner.

And that would be unforgivable.

I was so caught up in the moment that I didn't notice the EPIC typo.
Also, the point of the bad ending was that Phoenix didn't WANT to see Maya. He couldn't bear facing her, knowing that he sacrificed Adrian's life to save her, against her wishes.

I tried to hunt it down shortly after I made that post, only to find that the fic had either vanished or my memory's not what it used to be. All I remember was that it was a two part drabble separated by "chapters" (the first part dealt with Edgeworth and a freed/escaped Maya discovering Phoenix's absence), and that it might have been clustered with a whole bunch of other drabbles. I'm almost 100% sure it was at ff.net, though. I'll check for it again....

Honestly it didn't bother me at all.

I hate Maya for one, and as for Adrian; I like her, but she tampered with a crime scene... Call me heartless if you want but I was far from in tears, sorry. I was more upset about Friska getting shot.

I am a total wuss when it comes to GS games. Normally, nothing makes me cry, but basically every time Gyakuten Sisters' Ballade, Tonosamans Ballade, DL6 theme or Classroom Trial comes on, I start to cry. So I was sobbing for about half of that case. Same with 2-2. And especially at the end of 2-2. And for 20 minutes solid at the end of 3-5.

Yaya a nerco'd topic means +1 post for me.

Anyway. I lughed at it. Don't why i found it funny. Ever 3-5 was sadder than it. At least Maya is Alive. She gets shipped with more people than Adrian. Still maybe it was just the chessy line "The miracle never happened" That made me laugh. I don't know / care why. It took me a Gam FAQS trip later to get the good ending.t

But when I found out there was an alternate ending, I was pretty shocked and I had to retry the case and lost on purpose. I never felt sad about Adrian. I didn't really like her to be honest.

This reminded me of the game over from Trauma Center. You get melodramatic text about your character RUNNING AWAY FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRR and you just sorta sit there and go "OK" and then you restart trying not to screw up next time.

Don't get me wrong, the ending was sad, but at the same time a bit over the top.

i saw that ending first due to the fact that i hadn't figured who i had to choose and what i had to present, thankfully i had saved the moment i heard the judge say :udgy: "one chance"

the ending was,so very sad, phoenix wright had an inoccent person convicted for murder and a the killer's client set free as innocent and he was never able to see maya again (i think becouse matt told de killer to kill maya becouse phoenix tried to get matt quilty)

phoenix wright let a criminal free, had an innocent person declered murderer and lost maya fey forever, all what happened to him was too much,he left never to defend anyone as a defense attorney again and not be able to face anyone becouse of what he did.

ps.in the good ending franziska say's

:franny: why are you happy?,your undefeated record has been broken.

what if in the bad ending she say's

:franny: why are you sad?,you won the trial and maintained undefeated.

that would have had me burst into more tears :nixiesob:

The good thing about the bad ending is that you don't have to take out a loan to pay for lotta's camera or the meal, thank god!

Just to be curious when you got the good ending how did you plead? I chose not guilty because

a) I wanted to see Matt flip out
b) In reality I wanted De Killer to kill Matt!

Yes, when I got the bad ending. I got a bad feeling, but that feeling wasn't relinquished from me seeing as I used a guide to get the good ending. So, in reality, I really only deserve the Bad Ending. Adrian is guilty, and Phoenix has lost all of his friends.
