It's a mix of a polish curse word for 'penis' and the proper pronunciation of 'Juan'. It goes without saying that the name stuck. -

Tony! ...Really, the reference isn't that hard to see. Hector or Isaac. Really, the reference is kind of contradictory here. In my opinion, Matt is more of an 'Isaac' to me, but when I hear 'Engarde', I think foil. When I think 'foil', I think Hector. Abel or Sabot. The second one is roughly translated to 'Shoe' in Romanian, but the first one goes along with the above reference.
