I was thinking about trying this Nuzlocke thing. But then I realised I just wouldn't be able to give up on any mon that I had sunk hours and hours into training ^^; I stick with about 9 mons throughout the whole game, cycling through the team and grinding so that they're all at the same level. It pays off. If iit didn't I don't think I'd be playing..

Honestly, I hated the rival in Pearl. Too idiotic for me. I liked Silver the best if for the fact he's the only one with decent character development. In a game series that pretty much has no character development whatsoever, having something like him is rare.

So you don't like a trainer who grows stronger like you and fights you at random times to test you? You'd much prefer weak trainers every where punctuated by Strong Gym leaders and the Elite 4?

HGSS rival was cool though, if not only for Silver's utter smexyness. Victory Road was really toned down so it wasn't as irritating when he showed up at the end.

Birds, Dogs, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyroge, Groundon, the Regis, Shaymin, Darkrai, etc.

That's kinda what I meant. Why is it that dragons and psychics are always superior? Especially Psychics before Dark was a type, when the only things that really hit hard were Lick and Bug moves,and who the hell used bugs or Lick back then? And besides, the main Legendaries are usually Dragon or Psychic. (Mew, Mewtwo, Celebii, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, etc.)

Starly/Straravia/Staraptor look a lot like this pigeon, even though they're starling based.

Crocodile: ADORABLE. Maybe its evo will be what Feraligatr wasn't. 'Its abilities are Intimidate & Earthquake Spiral (じしんかじょう) which raises its attack when the opponent is Knocked Out'. Bet they won't give it the stats to be a sweeper though

Female professor, hmm. Interesting.
The only ones I like are the zebra, the pidgeon, croc and the chinchilla.
I think that easter egg looks like it has a snout, so maybe an anteater/armadillo(though sandshrew took that kinda) sort of thing...?
