My chemistry teacher continuously spells "coefficients" wrong when he's making slideshows on whatever we're learning at the moment, and today he got so mad at the wireless keyboard for not working when he went to correct his spelling that he slammed the wireless mouse down, broke the back off, and pounded the keyboard. Letters finally showed up and the result was "coefficvnfhjdyjnmfcents".
He then kept pronouncing it like like that.

After that, we watched a bunch of videos about walking tractors. Man, I love chemistry.

Bahahahaha, that's great. My class has this weird obsession with water: pulling the safety shower (we were cleaning that up for ages), having a mineral water drinking contest (there's a video of it somewhere on Facebook, I should find it for you), and the two guys in my class are constantly blasting the sinks and spraying all over the room. Fortunately, my table is too far away to get wet.x)

Our teacher thinks we're all weird, though, because we don't talk during tests. We can chat about anything except our papers, and yet we don't. Oh well. She's the one who uses a cat toy as a laser pointer. :keiko:

Double rainbow: Vocaloid style = distraction from inventor monologue due at 12:00 AM. XD (Derp at 00:07, I believe.)
Dunno if that counts, but oh well.

In other news, our lead actress for Peter Pan fell off the stage on Monday. DX She had a concussion and needed stitches on the back of her head because she hit the armrest of one of our auditorium seats that I constantly bruise my legs on. BUT~, on Tuesday, we had our dress rehearsal since this is ****ing Tech Week and the three performances are on this weekend, and she was actually able to perform AND fly in good shape (save for her sword hilt breaking off from her blade during a fight scene and multiple other mishaps during the performance). GAH, I WISH I COULD SHOW PICS!!! Everyone's costumes are so awesome!! (Makes me glad that I withstood getting sick of camo print, leaves, buttons, and paint for this show. XD)

Today we finally finished reading and analysing Lord of the Flies (Not a bad book if I say so myself) and suddenly my teacher said "So now, as something slightly different, we will be doing a court case..."
I interrupted screaming "NERDGASSM" and everyone sort of looked at me...
Anyway it's a trial of Ralph ( from LotF) and I'm the defense! Imma do it up Phoenix style...

Ha, we did something very similar for Grade 10 English. We had a debate however, and I had to argue for the innocence of Ralph and his 'tribe.'

My arguments were all based on criminal procedure: one needs both 1)Mens Rea (a guilty mind- motive for committing a crime) and 2) Actus Reus (needs to have committed the actual crime) in order to be deemed guilty. Ralph was not thinking clearly- he had devolved into a bestial form due to the absence of social institutions, thus no Mens Rea.

Basically, I used the plea of insanity cop out. :redd:

Yeah, you'd better. And no going for insanity! You need to get a full acquittal! Shout and finger-point your way to victory!

I've done absolutely nothing this week. It's been awesome.

I cried "Objection" in the German lesson yesterday.. And then I bumped my head on the desk. >.>
Anyway, the teacher asks me: " WHAT ARE YOU DOING? " And I: "I play too much Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney."
His answer: "WTF is Phoenix Wright?" - "Uh.. err.. uh.. hmm.." - "Hm? What's wrong?" - "Nuddin'!" - "Ah, ah, I understand. YOU ARE OBSESSED!" - " :beef: Er.. Err.. May I can go on the toilet?" - "Sure. Why not. >.> "
And my classmates: *dies of laughter* Hah, so funny. I hate the school. ><

Mwahaha. I'm back from a 3-day trip. On the first day it was cold. On the second day there was on and off rain. Today we had clear skies and no rain. It. Was. Just. Friggin'. COLD.
On Thursday's night activity we were going through training of a soldier back in the 17th century. Did I mention it was at night time? We had to stand at attention with our heels two inches apart and our feet in a "v" shape, our knees slightly bent, and arms slightly bent at the side. It was painful. They fired muskets, and I was in the front row. We had to keep elbow contact with the person to our left. The way that the people yelled at us was almost... harsh. After about 20 minutes into the night activity it started raining/drizzling. After 30 minutes into the night activity my knees were shaking, my hair was wet, and I was just COLD. The people yelled at us for not doing the left wheel right. You could feel how they really meant what they were saying. I got to hear muskets fire everyday. One on Wednesday, A LOT on Thursday, and twice today. SO. FRIGGIN'. LOUD. GRAH.
Well, anyway, our chaperon called us angels because we obeyed her.
My mom said that the last two days were fantastic without me. She said that she didn't have to get up early, and it wasn't loud, it was peaceful and quiet. My sister was mad because I hid my Halloween candy before I left. My other sister said that the days went by too quickly without me. I told her that since I'm back the craziness will resume. .......I feel so unimportant.
We have our Science Picture Book Due on Friday. I haven't even finished planning it. I only know of one person that has finished their picture book. And that is my friend. He's a kiss up to the teachers. On his field trip projects last year he used those plastic covers on each page that teachers DIE for....kiss up.
I hosted a Mario Kart game on the bus. It was fun even though when we moved to Balloon Battle I only had 9 points. There was this girl that hosted another game in the front of the bus. People were saying, "Join filipinoamerican's! She won't randomly turn the power off!" And stuff like that. Well, most of the people in the front went to her game and most of the people in the back went to my game. Me and two other people were the only girls racing. Then one time, it was just me, the only girl racing against a bunch of guys. My friend killed me in Balloon Battle. He had one of those stars that make you invincible, and he ran into me. AND WE WERE ON THE SAME TEAM! *puffs cheeks* It was not cool. Then my "special" friend kept on hitting me with red and green shells. His excuse was, "Well, whenever I release a green or red shell, you just get in my way!" And I said, "Yeah...sure..."
Yeah, well, my trip was AWESOME but COLD and WET.

Lol that' going to be a nice excuse for your teacher.

"Alright, sir, why haven't you passed in your assignment?"
"The totally epic music in the background wouldn't shut up and let me think!"

Unplug the speakers or hold in the power button.

I already used "Please ignore the rainbows and ponies in various locations on the essay. My baby sister grabbed a markers and decided that my 'History of Roman mythology' that I just printed would make a great coloring book while I was in the bathroom, taking a victory shower." (It took me two weeks to write. Completely hand-written.)

I have a laptop. The speakers are built-in, and it hates Microsoft Word. It completely erases my work if I don't save every five minutes. My laptop takes longer to turn off and then on.

I'm working diligently on my Science Project that's due this Friday! I didn't even finish the plan that I was doing before I started working on my final copy! And you can tell that I'm actually not working diligently because I am on CR! I'm supposed to be drawing a barometer for my picture book, but it has so many lines and numbers on it that I really don't want to right now! Screw you, Science Picture Book Project! You're ruining my weekend! =D

That's so wrong, Perseverance. That teacher sounds like a bigot.

For my recent university happenings, I tried to enroll into 3 classes for next semester, which starts in January (Italian, Focused Inquiry and the introductory class for English majors).

I heard that the sign ups started this week, so I go on to the site to add the classes, but it says I'm not allowed basically. I then looked to see why, and there it was...

You see, at my community college where I transferred from, I didn't make a high enough GPA to get into the Bachelor's degree program for English (But I was REALLY close), so they forced me to be non degree seeking for 2 semesters where I'm at now. If I made a good enough GPA from the classes I took they'll let me in.

Problem with that is... They make those people enroll in classes LAST. That's right! Honors students got to enroll on November 1-3, Grad students got to today, and everybody else November 10-December 1. Me and other non degree seeking students?

DECEMBER FREAKING THIRRRRRRRRRRRRRD!!!!
:fire:

This upsets me because I NEVER wait till the last minute to sign up for classes- I always do it as soon as it becomes available, but at this university they are FORCING me to wait till the last minute! Now I'm scared by the time I'm able to sign up for classes all the classes will be filled up!

Man, I hope I'll be able to get out of this non degree seeking BS.

I was mean again today.
On my overnight field trip, my friend found out that my other friend couldn't snap and that he got really annoyed if you snap in his face(We'll call him Jason). When I saw him at recess I went up to him and snapped with both of my hands. He started screaming. One thing I remember he screamed was, "Stop this madness! Please! You're so mean, filipinoamerican!" Then my friend joined me(We'll call him William). It was fun, but then these two girls from William's class started annoying him, and one girl did a leg-lock(where you wrap your arms around someone's legs and they trip and fall to the ground). It was hilarious! :D Then I ran onto the soccer field and told a group of boys that Jason couldn't snap, so when Jason walked onto the field every boy that I told ran over to him and started snapping. Jason slapped a few kids. I felt bad for him, so I gave Jason a hug and told him that I would teach him how to snap... He failed. The he went to play a game of old fashioned slaps with my friend(He's name'll be Sluke). Sluke lost. Then we started our game of soccer.
GOT OUR REPORT CARDS TODAY. The comment on my report card was, "Filipinoamerican is such a cooperative and thoughtful student." ...I laugh at you people who wrote this report card. I LAUGH. I am definitely NOT thoughtful or cooperative. If I have a boring group during group projects I usually talk to the other group with most of my friends.

UGH TIMED WRITINGS SUCK.

Our English class had a surprise sub today. What does our teacher decide to leave for sub plans (for, apparently, EVERY TIME SHE'S OUT SICK)? A timed writing. Basically, you get a short passage, and within 40 minutes, you have to write a 4+ paragraph essay, in a specific format, answering the question included. There's going to be at least 11 throughout the year, since there's 11 people in our class. This is our second one, and for every essay, we spend a day analyzing one of the essays. Now, I signed up to be 7th, but Mrs. Teacher lost the list, and had us write it again. Somebody STOLE my spot, and do you wanna guess where I wound up? 2. Yeah. MY essay's getting analyzed next, and the real kicker is, I DIDN'T FINISH. I spent about 10 minutes trying to START the stupid thing, and I kept hitting block after writer's block. I got about 2 1/2 paragraphs in, and the bell rang. I snuck in afterschool and scribbled in an ending while the sub wasn't there.

Although on a lighter note, I just spent a good minute laughing because my cat stretched and fell off the back of the couch.x)

UGH TIMED WRITINGS SUCK.

Our English class had a surprise sub today. What does our teacher decide to leave for sub plans (for, apparently, EVERY TIME SHE'S OUT SICK)? A timed writing. 2 1/2 mind-blowing paragraphs are better than 4 mediocre paragraphs.

Think of it as getting your turn over wish early... You'll never have to deal with having your analyzed again :P

Spoiler: space saver. warning: rant
(But yeah, having your essay publicly analyzed sucks. Even more when everyone knows it's yours. I have a pretty bad story... One time my English teacher decided to show the class my essay and analyze it, b/c it was the best in the class. So my essay is up there on the projector, she said it was the best in the class... and she proceeds to go through it and talk about how I did everything wrong. :nick: (Although I can't decide if this was worse than the time when I didn't really get any negative comments on an essay, so I asked the teacher (this was a different class, btw) what exactly I could do to improve my writing and to have improved my grade, so she read through it and couldn't find anything wrong with it.)) Ugh, now I'm running on about how I didn't like English. ...One more lol. This was yet another teacher, who let us rewrite all our essays for a higher grade. But one time I rewrote my essay, he didn't get any points back. I addressed every single comment of his in my edited version, and the reason he didn't give me any points back is because he disagreed with one subjective statement in my essay, that was in the original version that he didn't comment on the first time. Oh, and there's not one, but two kickers: that was the only time in his entire career he didn't raise the grade on a rewritten essay, and my grade was 1 less than I needed for an A. He just didn't want to give me the grade :nick: (Okay, I'm really done, otherwise I'll be here all night)

Posted this at school, during English lesson XD
It kind feels great that he actually doesn't mind me turning on my laptop, because my friend is the one who usually does this, and everytime she does, the teacher always comes to her and calls her a 'computer junkie'. I feel proud ^^

T_T

Two weeks ago, our math professor assigned an extra-large problem set because we then had break, so the problem set was extra-large to make up for it. Today he told us that the problem set he's going to give us next week is also going to be extra-large, to make up for the fact that we don't have a problem set this week. Of course, the reason we don't have a problem this week is because instead we have our take-home midterm T_T

If this is my last post ever, you know why.

Update: I spoke with the Dean of Students today and he indicated that a previous incident between this Professor and another student in a different class earlier this semester had led to an internal investigation by the school. I'm basically going to piggyback on that and add my story to the record.

He's instructed me to delete all specific references to the incident in question from publically accessible sites on the internet. I'm not really sure why the Professor or any sort of investigation would lead them to look in an Ace Attorney website, but I have used school resources (computers here, etc.) to access Court Records before, so I'm going to be appropriately prudent here. I'd like to ask all of you that have commented on the incident to delete your comments too. This is just an exceptional precaution on my part.

Thanks!

kk, deleted. I hope it works out.

I got back my midterm grades for japanese and econ, and I'm really happy with them :D Although sensei said she wanted to meet with me to talk about the oral part of my exam, so I'm not really sure what that's about... oh well.
