A bunch of my family on my mother's side were left-handed, though. In some cases, teachers would tie their left-handed students' left hands to their chair and force them to write right-handed; those anecdotes are absolutely true. Persecution of left-handed people has a long and inglorious history. It's no coincidence that the Latin word for "left" (and "left-handed"), sinister, means evil or ominous in English, and why the word "right" can also mean "correct". We say that people have good "dexterity" (from the Latin for "right"), but never good "sinisterity". Hmm.
On a semi-related note, I feel equally comfortable kicking around soccer balls and other things with either my left or right foot. Interesting.

It's kind of irritating, though. Everything I write gets all smudged when I get to the right half of the page, since my hand goes over what I've just written! I also have a bump on my finger, though that's because my style of writing is weird as opposed to being left-handed.
I should post more, but I'm lazy.

Anyway I can write with both hands. Chinese characters are really easy to recognize unless you write them unreadable on purpose , I guess.But I write much faster and better with right hand, of course.

I do almost everything with my left hand save for using scizzours, but that would be about it.
As for my handwriting, it's terrible, I mean, unreadable, and it looks like a guy's handwriting instead of a girls ((y'know, most of the guys I know have more shorthand, while girls have elabourate letters, plenty of curves, it makes little sense, but...)) And since you have to keep pushing your hand when you write, print is painful enough, cursive for more than fifteen minutes is asking for suicide.
On the plus side, lefties are said to be smarter and more artistic, so that works well enough for me! ^^
Left-handedness is also said to be more common in Autistics/Asperger's Syndrome, people with Scitzophrenia, and I don't remember if Bipolar disorder was on that list or not....

And I even play pool using an ambidextrous play style--I can freely switch which hand I use to use the cue. I should really get a video of it one day.

My right hand is useless. I might as well not have it.
The only thing I don't like about being left handed is that when I write I get ink all down the right side of my left hand. It's extremely annoying.
