The request has been accepted! :keiko:

In the event that DD is shown at E3, I'm not sure if they would give away details that are not already given away by Japan's coverage, but then again, they just revealed Edgeworth nonchalantly, so maybe they'll be more lenient in their spoilers, seeing as Japan's release is so close.

I imagine the directive for Capcom USA is essentially "don't reveal anything that hasn't been revealed in Japan yet, but other than that it's free reign". Hence why the announcement trailer and PR for Dual Destinies did things like acknowledge Apollo.

I wonder if we'll get a localized version of the second trailer [the one from the Nintendo Direct].
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

That could possibly be what will be shown at E3, seeing as it's already been shown to Japan. As to whether Capcom will acknowledge Klavier and Pearl, or just show the same hint to them, I don't know. Hopefully Capcom America will be allowed to reveal some new information first, before Japan does.
Seeing as they revealed Image 's name, they may reveal Image 's next? (What was the origin of Ban's name? Did anyone try to figure it out?)

I always read Ban as "Bang"; it fits him. I don't know if Gouzou references anything, though. Normally, names with the kanji for 3 aren't anything special, but I wonder if it has any meaning with this guy.

The Kanji for "3" and his surname "ban" may imply the fact that he's the 3rd main detective for an Ace Attorney game? (The first being Gumshoe, second being Ema), and so he's name says he's the third in the order...? Maybe...? :yuusaku:

So there was nothing about DD in the Nintendo Direct, even though there was a specific section where they showed third-party eshop titles. They even showed Capcom's own Duck Tales: Remastered, but our friend Phoenix didn't show up.

Oh well, I guess we have the Q&A to look forward to.

But there was a cool annoucement
Spoiler:
Super Smash Bros featuring Mega Man. This probably won't amount to any AA characters in SSB or anything, but it might mean we'll see AA Stickers or something.

The character for gou means roar, reverberate. The ne in Kokone means sound. And the third person with a character related to sound in her given name is... Angel Starr (Kyouka -> kyou means (re)sound, echo). Coincidence?! I think not! [/how to start irresponsible fantheories]

*Ignoring characters in family names and names not written with characters / different characters. I.e. Akane is 茜 and not 朱音, so that doesn't count

You know, I always figured Ban was a take on Pan/Bang cause he did seem a pretty hotheaded guy who would explode easily.

Hmm... wasn't the police emergency number in Japan 110番 (dial 110)? It's the same character in his name, so I find it curious.

Oh wow, I forgot about Starr. Gawrsh, what's with these naming conventions...

So is DD featured in Capcom's booth all week, or only tomorrow when the Ace Attorney "event" happens?

I wonder when we'll see any "hands on" videos or information.

Finished the Q & A. Sadly :sadshoe: for Gumshoe fans, he is most likely not in the game as Eshiro said that he had no idea where Gumshoe is in the game, but the stepladder will return!

We do know that the new detective's last name is Fulbright.

And Capcom wonders why we feel ignored...

Wow, so this could be the first Ace Attorney game to ever not have Gumshoe. How disappointing. :sadshoe:

And suspiciously, they're lips are sealed about Maya as well. And hooooooo boy, were there a LOT of Maya comments in the chat window or what? Although I'll admit, I was one of those clamoring fanboys asking for her back. ^^;

I'm pretty sure that interview is confirmation that Maya will come back. If she wan't going to be present than he would have made a comment similar to the one about Gumshoe.

Although, there was another conversation about Maya sometime last year. Supposedly she was "off training in her village" last time the developers talked about her.

Maybe that was just a flat-out lie to cover up something...bigger.

I think that was right after it was announced, so the plot could have changed.

We also know that the GS5 team has had no issues "covering up" evidence of a character's return (Photoshopping the "Apollo standing in the blown up courtroom" scene so that Apollo's hair wasn't showing, replacing Apollo with a generic security guard in the TGS demonstration) so they could have simply been shutting down any hint of her returning until they wanted it in there.
