During a recent vacation I was experimenting with a way to sleep outdoors and avoid sunburn when I awoke to the sight and sound of an animal walking right past my chair and stopping roughly three feet away to nibble some of the local vegetation. Brief study revealed that I was looking at a striped skunk. I was probably in very little danger of getting sprayed but I wasn't going to take any chances, so I waited until it was about ten feet away, slowly got up, and retreated to the van.

Another awkward and "Oh shit!" moment for me was when I wanted to send an SMS to my boyfriend. Not amongst the weirdest things, but strange to me. A week ago I got the mail and there was this orange little note in it. Said "before you leave on friday and we can't see each other for a month again, how about we go out for drinks? (Telephone number) ;-)"
..... I took a pic of the note and sent it to my mom, asking if she knew anything about it, because I don't go out and hence it couldn't be for me. Dunno who it was for, so when my mom came home, she put it into a corner of the glassbox next to the mailboxes in our building.
Wonder if Mr Telephone Number and Miss Gone On Friday still got together.

Randomly remembered, when I was around 11 or 12, I went to a type of therapy (didn't help) and around the same time when I went to therapy, there was this mentally deranged guy on the train a lot. It was okay when he was there and I was with my mom, but alone I felt really creeped out, because he always talked to me and wanted to shake my hand. One time I asked an older lady if she could maybe keep an eye on me because of that guy. Dunno what became of him, I stopped seeing him around...
Oh and there's this time when I got groped on the escalator. Am I the only girl that gets groped on an escalator? I was using the U-Bahn and already felt something on my butt, but ignored it cause the train was a bit full - Central Station and all. On the long escalator, this guy behind me suddenly talks to me, asking me about my book and then I suddenly feel this hand on my ass and he's asking me if I wanna grab some coffee with him.
Aside from the fact that I don't drink coffee.... and escalators are not good places to flirt, I guess...
That touch made me want to puke and cry and claw my nails into my face until I bled. But I mustered up my courage and made up an excuse and finally said in this really loud voice "Now take your GODDAMN hand AWAY from there!!" and walked the rest of the escalator up.
Weird and creeped out. Urgh, just the memory makes my skin crawl...
Aaaand something else I just remembered. This scarred me, actually.
So, I year or so ago, I read up a lot about Neon Genesis Evangelion. I sorta knew what it was about, so I figured I should start watching it. Had the subbed first episode loading on one tab, then went to TV Tropes to read up on it.
I didn't feel bad about spoiling myself, because I tend to do that with stuff I watch/play/read, although I have things I don't do it, because I want to be surprised. I am so glad that I read up first. I read the entire page and the extra page that was basically entitled High Octane Nightmare Fuel In Neon Genesis Evangelion.
I was so freaking scared, I decided to not watch the anime and I had trouble sleeping that night, I kept seeing those horrible burnt-into-your-retina pics of a decaying Asuka. Listened to my mp3 player... I think I got about 1 or 2 hours of sleep that night.
I'm sure I have some scarring things that happened to me, but I repressed everything so much that I have no memory of things prior to my 10th birthday. (And what I do remember, I do not WANT to remember)

Kidzbop is basically pop songs + kids cringey voices. I remember them from when I was a kid, I'm amazed if they're still making things.

The most scarring thing i found on one of our morning walks though would have to be a dog's jawbone. I actually kicked it by accident. I'm not sure if it was really a dog's, but it had canines, so it's likely.

Um..... uh...... years ago, when we still lived in the house, I saw a vibrator (or was it a dildo?) on the stairs leading to the ground floor. I.... guess... it rolled out of the bedroom on the second floor and fell down the gaps between the upper staircase down to the lower one?

Apparently? Dunno why, the only part of the book I ever 'read' was the Nostalgia Critic and TeamFourStar reading out a few pages and boy did that thing sound dumb. I write better Purple Prose sex scenes than that.
