So Athena is as old as them, but already gratuated and got a job? I wonder if she is treated as a "genius" character in this game or if she just finished a year earlier than the others? Are the pupils of this law school considered to be real judges/prosecutors/attorneys when they finish this school or is it just easier for them to enter university to study law?

It's not about that. It's quite clear that case 3 takes place before case 1, but I don't think the case 3 trial is the trial where the bombing takes place which is the subject of the case 1 trial.

Here's my guess: I don't think we're going to get the costume DLC, as that does seem to be a pre-order/more of a not-important kind of thing. I bet if new cases or chapters are released in Japan that we will get those though.

Oh no worries. I'm sure GS6 when it comes out will satisfy those DLCs... especially how evil Mr. Eshiro was to not answer if this game ends on a cliffhanger or not. I'm used to games in a series ending on cliffhangers of some sort, but every time it happens, I throw a hissy fit... and if its sequel involves region lock, I throw other stuff around.

Yeah I remember that quote and it kind of bothered me. The games have never ended with cliffhangers and I don't think they should start now. The games' ends have always wrapped enough up so that they could almost serve as possible series finales.
What I WOULD like is for the DLC to be less "character arc" focused but instead be more of a "case centric" case, more like something you'd see on Law and Order. Where like Athena, Phoenix, and Apollo solve a murder mystery but it has no relation to any of their backgrounds or characters. Just a case. That way if people later on don't get a chance to get DLC they can go on to the next game without any issues.
And yeah DD better be coming out September/October. I know November and December are technically fall but no one really thinks of them like that. And usually games released in that time are called "holiday". Like Zelda: A Link Between Worlds has a November release which was first announced as Holiday 2013.

A season doesn't consist of four months. Usually fall just means September, October and November, although by the astronomocial definition it's from 21st/22nd September to 20th/21st December.
A September release date would be great, an October release date is what I expect, and a November release date would be a little bit disappointing (but still much earlier than older titles).
Regarding DLCs I guess there is not much else besides costumes, music tracks and bonus cases. There could be free of charge bonus cases that just consists of some funny stuff and some cameos and then "case centric" cases as you described them that will cost something.
