I wrote it in tiny text to emphasize that it was a moot point. I've known the entire time Level 5 has all control over the localization.

Physical copies can be a burden considering you have produce the cart, the box art to go with it, and ship copies to various retail stores in the world. That takes time, which is freed up when it's digital only.
Still, that takes costs away, so the digital-only title better be a good reasonable price >.>
Anyways, off-topic, but if Sven's leaving, I'm sure Chris is going to leave too if he has to put up with the exec bs at Capcom ;P

Not much of a difference, but in any case, I think it'd be a big surprise if they announced either an earlier-than-expected release (like late September, or mid October) or a cheaper-than-expected price (like $30). We, the fanbase, are just speculating about that, but wouldn't it be "good news" if Capcom confirmed it? :)
Also I stand by Percei's last post. I do agree the music isn't as good as T&T's, but goshdarnit Iwadare is a genius. The Mood Matrix theme alone redeems any bad music the rest of the game may have.

Oops; I read this post when it first came out on my news app but I've mostly been staying away from C-R because of spoilers so I forgot the exact words. In that case the message works. Also, I'd love a release date because I need to plan how my school schedule (I'm at college and need to figure out if my internet will work for getting the game) my personal schedule and my AA marathon will all line up for when the game comes out. I was under the impression they had been saying "Very Good News Soon" as if it was something we weren't expecting.
Regarding the music, apart from the "court begins" theme which I think is really unmemorable, the rest of the sountrack sounds great to me. I've avoided the later tracks of the game and the returning character themes for spoilers, but from what I've heard from the early parts of the soundtrack it might be my favorite so far. I love a lot of the returning theme's like Phoenix, Apollo, and the Law Office, and I really like Athena's Objection and Simon's theme. I especially love the Thought Route song.

You know actually now that you mention it GK2 could be involved in this good news. From what I understand they said Digital is a good home for Ace Attorney. I don't recall them mentioning it was a good home for Dual Destinies in specific.
As for PLvAA the thing is I believe Level-5 is having some trouble finding a publisher as they never publish they're own stuff outside of japan. And due to copyright laws it might be a bit harder for nintendo to publish since capcom is involved. Which would mean either capcom publishes or Level-5 steps out of their comfort zone and does it.

I still think that comment was about DD, and I think we will know the release date in the next month or so. I think PLvsPW:AA doesn't have much to do with Chris' comment since I doubt very seriously at this point that PLvsPW:AA will be released physically, which would mean his comment about digital being a great home for Phoenix wouldn't make sense.
My guess about his comment means that
1) There is no way DD is going physical at this point
2) Capcom must know about some of the backlash revolving digital and is doing things to prepare for it/still make a profit, meaning our franchise might live to see another day in the west.
3) That in the next 2-3 weeks, one of these things will happen:
GOOD NEWS: (most likely) Release date, pricing
REALLY GOOD NEWS: (Less Likely) Release date, pricing, some sort of bonus or feature to entice those who don't care for digital download
4) AMAZING NEWS: (Least Likely) Release Date, Pricing, GK2 comes to the eShop when DD does.
And while PLvsAA is the game in the AA franchise I care least about (The main GS games are top of my priority, then the GK games, then PLvsAA) I'm still super excited about it. All they have to do is put a little ad for DD in the box and the game will get new fans. Already on comments sections for the trailer for PLvsAA there are people who are asking about which GS game to get into the series with. I was worried that PLvsAA wouldn't affect DD at all because I thought it would come out in 2015 or not at all, so it's nice that it's coming in early/mid 2014.

Back in mid April Sven said news would come "in the not so distant future". That news came in mid May.
So I would assume that "very soon" will mean sometime this month.
Also keep in mind the questions for the Q&A with Eshiro are due today, and they promise the answers will be posted soon after.
Kind of a strange time to ask questions; my guess is the q&a will also announce release date and pricing issues.
I expect to know in a week.
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

What is he answering questions about? The NA/EU localization? Unless he's talking about a new game, he isn't answering questions for Japan...is he? (They already have the game, so I don't see why they need to answer any questions there.)

He's answering any questions submitted to him (at least any Capcom deems worthy) and its through Capcom Unity so it is regarding western fans/the localization. Hopefully that means some news will come out soon.
