Skyward Sword has gave me a doubt..... In Majora's Mask manga.... If ya read it surely you might get an idea of what I may refer to when I say which came first the battle or the mask being made.....

The manga aren't canon... and quite frankly, I don't care about Zelda manga. The only ones I read was some H ones like Bad Zelda (or was it Bad Majora? Whatever) and similar. Oh and that dumb, dumb, DUMB Skyward manga. It retcons what is stated IN GAME. (And if it's between "What is more canon? The game or the manga" and considering the game came first, I say the game - you don't put "real canon" into side reading material that people may not get)

It's been some time since I read it, but I do remember Volvagia's story adding a lot more depth to the story. It makes me wish the manga was canon, or at least that part.

The romance/jealously subplot involving her is too stupid by Zelda standards.
Hello? Yes, romance is dumb to be put into Zelda games, especially if it's supposedly somehow connected to the plot. The Zelda games never were about romance and they damn well shouldn't be now. You know what I hated about the supposed romance in Skyward Sword? No, not the fact that I think that incarnation of Zelda is so useless, she makes Miss Tetra-Turned-Sleepy-Princess look badass while sleeping.
No, it's the fact that the romance didn't play a big part in the plot after all. Had the game's entire atmosphere been worked to fit with the theme of romance, or had the romance be better integrated into the plot, I wouldn't have minded it so much. But given how the romance in Skyward Sword is kinda rubbed in my face in the 40-minute-long-introduction-phase, I was expecting it to play a big role until the end of the game.
Well, it didn't. It got rubbed in my face for a while, then it pretty much kinda disappeared completely. As soon as my/Link's foot touches the surface, the entire game, plot and actions revolve around exploring the surface area, getting into dungeons and fighting monsters while solving puzzles in said dungeons. The romance is gone.
Oh sure, the game tells me that I'm doing all this to find Zelda. Yeah, but that has nothing to do with the romance. That's about the same as Tatl, Navi, Fi herself or Elzo (that hat thing) or any other sidekick telling me, "Remember, Link, this is where you have to go next/your next goal."
In my eyes? Romance has no place in Zelda. At least not in the plot or story. If it's, like, Zelda II or, I think, Minish Cap, where there's a kiss on the cheek as a sort of reward or similar for finishing the adventure, you know like in Mario, I don't mind. That has nothing to do with the plot.

PS: I'm not saying I'm gonna hate Cia for that subplot. I'm just saying overall it has no place in Zelda. I might end up liking Cia. *shrug*
