Well, it's still daytime in the RP for another three hours or so, so there's time. Still, this does help call attention to the need to plan for these things beforehand. The RP was started without any sort of formal agreement on when we'd start, and the time system has the potential to complicate when users may post. For example, if SenorJustice-dono posts four hours from now, it will be nighttime in the RP by then. For the record, I'm not calling for the time system to be abandoned. I'm just pointing out that it does make a session system a good idea.

Yes... well for now, let's call this the prologue. The intro of all the characters and their pokemon partners. But yes, we do need to create some type of session system, to assure that something like this only happens because someone is in an emergency situation.

A session creation may be good indeed, but the thing is, I doubt there would be all four roleplayers all the time. Even though they are not in emergency situations.

This site could be a convenient tool for knowing what time it is on each player's end. For future reference, I live in the San Diego area. My current sleep schedule makes 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM ideal for me, though I can adjust my schedule to be up earlier if necessary. I'm currently unemployed, so I'm available any day of the week (though I can't promise my full attention during the staff meetings, which usually run from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturdays).

It's more rough trying to plan while Including Ace Pointer, since they are 11 hours ahead... and I doubt that they would like to keep staying up late just to Roleplay... if anything... 10:00am (9:00pm for Ace Pointer) might be one of the better times... hmm...

I forgot to mention that SenorJustice-Dono is my assistant for this RP and will sometimes control NPC's and other miscellaneous tasks in case he gets to it first. However, I should also say that after one of us takes control of an NPC, the other person can't control them. This should avoid further confusion. So if I control an NPC, he can't control that one anymore and vice versa

I'm always available except on Tuesdays-Thursdays from 12:00-3:00pm because I have tennis practice. I usually wake up at around 7:30am or 8:30am. I can pull all nighters whenever I need to though. But yeah, otherwise then, I'm usually available.

Control an aide. It'll cause less confusion for the audience. Hmm... oh yeah. Gender is also based on a numerical system, but a majority of pokemon have a 50% of being either gender.

From what I understand, starters are mostly male. At the very least, the one Lucy is after has an 87.5% chance of being male. Is there a particular random number generator you want me to use when determining the gender of Lucy's starter, or would you rather use one yourself and tell me the results?

This is the one I used in my Fire Emblem RP. Let's see... since it's an 87.5% chance of being male, I'll set the range from 1 to 1,000, since the RNG only spits out whole numbers. 875 or lower, it's male. 876 or higher, it's female.

Edit: [sets range and hits "Generate"] 31. Lucy's starter will be male.

Excellent generator! Yes, this will help a lot with determining whether a move hits or not. But again, it still all relies heavily on a honor system. Thank you for providing the link though.

Nah, I trust everyone right now. Besides, there's no real benefit in lying anyway. That and the accuracy of moves works something like this:
Person 1 uses Fury Swipes
Person 2 checks if move hits
If yes, then describe it hitting and determine damage given.
If no, then describe it as either missing or as if your pokemon dodged it
And it goes back and forth until either pokemon faints.

Ah. I've been meaning to ask about Psychic Pokémon and telepathic communication. Would you be so kind as to provide a list of the Pokémon who can use it? Some might be clearly humanoid, but there are others who are more ambiguous. Delphox, for example, is a Fire/Psychic Pokémon and is somewhat humanoid.

At level 18, it learns Psybeam. At level 34, it can learn Psyshock and at level 48, it can learn Psychic. Although it might seem a bit of a stretch, we can assume that a Braixen can have enough psychic power to at least communicate if at has the capability of learning psychic type attacks by leveling up.

Okay. Also, I'd like to advise putting that list in the first post. You mentioned in the first post that users can scroll through the thread for answers to any questions they might have asked, but the longer this thread gets, the less reasonable it is to expect users to scroll through the whole thing for the answer to a question that might have never been asked.

It has been done. Also, who wants Silver as a rival? I want to add him in, but he can only rival one of us. So the way I want it is that when everyone agrees to go and get the item from Mr. Pokemon, one of us takes it back while the rest of us go and wait at the Berry Master's house. The person that goes back to New Bark Town will be the rival of Silver.
Also, all characters have a pokégear with calling capabilities.

Edit: Ah. I forgot to ask about Shiny Pokémon. How will we determine if a Pokémon encountered in the wild is Shiny?

Another edit: What about the money system? Is it pretty much going to be "free money as the plot demands" or will everyone's finances be tracked? If the latter, is money going to be individual or collective?

Yes, Gen 6 movesets. Shinies... um, the odds of finding one are astronomical... even today, I've yet to find a shiny in the wild, and I've been playing pokemon since I was three. So shinies... well I suppose we could use the RNG... 1 in 8192 chance...
Money is gained individually, but can be shared among the group if everyone agrees to it. And I still have to wait for SenorJustice-Dono and Ace Pointer's response towards Silver.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest if you didn't say anything. My understanding is that the odds were improved to 1 in 4096 in Generation VI, though.

Ah, so I was right about what time zone you were in. As it turns out, I am somewhat familiar with Bangladesh. A student who sat next to me in my college microeconomics class was from there. Oh, and don't worry, I'm quite certain there will be no racism expressed here with regards to what country you're from.

I've got worldtimebuddy.com ready to go. I've already mentioned that while I'd prefer to be available from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM (2:00 PM to 2:00 AM Central Time, 1:00 AM to 1:00 PM Bangladesh Standard Time), I can be available earlier if necessary. Just as a starting point, let's say what times we are usually awake. We can adjust for times of day that any of us are busy after that.

Edit: Ace Pointer, the options for starters are Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Treecko, Turtwig, Snivy, Chespin, Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Chimchar, Tepig, Fennekin, Squirtle, Totodile, Mudkip, Piplup (unless there's only one in this RP, in which case Lucy already took that one), Oshawott, and Froakie.
