If it was someone else, wouldn't SiRReN have seen them leave through the front door? Unless they could hide in the bottom floor, but... I don't see how they could have."

[Just remember, some actions were taken only because the mystery made it happen. Jay left his crane up in the upstairs room, many of these points are similar too. I.e. you won't be able to trip people up by asking them these questions, as they weren't even responsible for actually doing it.]
