André shook his head "No, Esther, *I* insist." he said turning and fetching a bottle of Cooper's favourite before pouring it for her "Try that but if you get too woozy I'm cutting you off. I've seen too many young girls get into trouble while drunk, and that's WITHOUT a cult in town." he joked.

Esther pocketed her coins and gave the bartender a weak smile. "Thank you, André." She hesitated before taking a swig of her drink - and then promptly setting it down with a sour look on her face.

"Bleeeaaagh!" She slid the rest of the drink and arm's length away. "Okay. Too strong."

Having finished paying his respects, Xander headed over to the bar and entered. His hair was even more disheveled than usual, and there was a visible bag under his eye. He sat down a little ways away from the others and yawned, fighting the urge to lay his head down on the counter.

"I will take... um... well, whatever you feel like serving," he half-heartedly said, rubbing his eye.

André couldn't help but laugh at Esther as he retrieved her drink. "Here, Cooper is a man of distinguished taste, it's not for everyone. I think this is more to your liking." he said passing her something decidedly lighter.

Noting Forsythia at the bar he raised an eyebrow "You are having a...good day?" he asked unable to tell what she meant "I find that hard to believe in the circumstances," Andre leaned back from the bar and lit one of his herbal cigarettes "Then again...I suppose any day would be good after yesterday's trials to me." He tilted his head to the side looking at Forsythia "Though I never did get to ask yesterday. What did happen to your husband in the end? I've not seen him around town."

André served Xander another glass of grape juice and ruffled his hair with a sad smile.

Xander didn't noticably react to the hair ruffling, though he did look up at André with a faint, weak smile. "Thank you," he stated before sipping at the grape juice.

As he finished his sip, he set the bottle down on the counter and rubbed his eye again. "Ugh, my head..."

Esther blushed in embarrassment and sheepishly accepted the second drink with a murmured "thank you".

She shot an uncomfortable glance at Amory before turning her attention to Xander. "Hey. You look rather unwell. Do you want me to find some medicine for you?"

Xander blankly blinked at Avis's statement, his face ever so slightly flushing red in embarrassment as he heard Forsythia compliment him. "Y-You thought I was that young? I know I may look like a child to some, but... I did not expect to look that youthful," he sheepishly admitted.

"And thank you for the offer, Esther. If I have more difficulty sleeping, I think I will ask for some sleeping balm."

André nodded solemnly as he served Emilia.

"I hope you all know...this can't stay like this forever." He looked towards Avis "Our elegant ranger is right. Its more important to find the Coven rather than commiserate ourselves." He poured a small drink for himself.

"As the days go on, if the Coven is true to their threat I fear this will become...a more.familiar event for our lovely little town. So let us take a drink now for Jonas and the mayor and all that we are yet to lose for I doubt we will have time to mourn like this in the coming days."

Raising his glass he calls out a toast "For Jonas and the good people of Moonview!" Before downing his drink.

After a long day of sorrowful drinking, the citizens of Moonview decide to eventually return to their homes, clinging onto any semblance of hope they have left.

The next morning is fairly quiet, but the townspeople can't help but to feel like something dark is about to happen again.

The next morning, everyone gathers once more at the town square. Everybody seems to have arrived except for...Xander and André. Once again, the townspeople split up into two groups.

The first group knocks at Xander's door and waits. A portion of time passes, and just as the group begins to fear the worst, Xander comes out, startled by the mass of people gathered at his doorstep. He sheepishly apologizes for being late before joining the others.

The second group however, doesn't seem to be so lucky. After breaking down the door to house #5, the group finds the horrific corpse of André lying on the floor, his body in the same state as the late mayor and Jonas.

What's more, some of the townspeople notice something off about the forest surrounding the town. Every time someone gets too close to the edge of the outlying trees, massive thorned vines seem to sprout from the ground and snap viciously at them. Whatever intention the residents of Moonview had of escaping was crushed.

Something new seems to be added to the black book on the podium:

"André DuBois", or Jason Vaughn, the Detective, died last night. He was attacked by a member of the Coven.

Jason Vaughn was raised in a broken home. His mother was the only one to raise him as his father left before Jason truly knew him and so Jason learned quickly he had to take care of himself. It was a difficult life being a bastard child, particularly in the small religious community they grew up in and he faced a lot of adversity. When he grew up, he was soon enlisted in a secret mission to investigate the rumours of there being a sinister, supernatural force in the Woeful Woods. Knowing he was risking his life, Jason agreed to the mission using the guise of a new name and a new life
