"Since I witnessed someone carrying a can of glue and they destroyed my RC car, they were paranoid about getting caught. There would be no way for the killer to verify that I did not actually see them, and rather than discarding their murder plan, they decided to pivot to me as a target. After all I was a witness.
"The killer's aim was to kill the great Kyoya Okamura. And they only killed Nick because they thought he was me." Kyoya wasn't explicit but it was nonetheless clear who he was accusing.

And..." she tapped her index finger on her chin a few times, "I dunno, he seems really proud of the fact that he wasn't suckered into Rose's perfume trap. It could be nothing, but it definitely rubs me the wrong way."
She shrugged, not really confident that those reasons were enough to indict the toaster boy.

She looked down at the toaster. Not in a condescending way, that's just the only way you can look at a toaster. "On the other hand, your alibi is suspicious. You are the only one who can confirm the one who destroyed your RC car is the murderer, which also happens to render you innocent. Not to mention, you are the only one who could be the mysterious figure, now that Mr. Miller is out of the question. Mr. Okamura, is there any part of your testimony that anyone here can truly confirm?"

How could he have set it up if he was supposed to be suffocating in the cold freeze? Unless he had an accomplice, but then, why couldn't the accomplice just kill him?
