I'm taking a legal principles course next year which should help prepare me for other Law courses I plan to take in the near future...with the option to study Criminal Defence! :phoenix:

Id try to make a name of myself so I can becomme a prosecutor... Really, I'm not too found of the whole criminal defence thing, as you have to defend your client no mater what, even if you know he is guilty, while a prosecutor can always rest the case if he doesn't believe in the defendant's guilt.

And if you want to protect the defenceless in criminal justice, be prepared to do a lot of pro bono publico work...

I'd make a bad attorney, mainly because I'd only take cases when I am absolutely sure my client is innocent.. PW romanticizes law, it's not always so simple. I'll stick with dentistry, thanks.

I'd be bad at it, because I wouldn't be able to think up contradictions that quickly. I'd need like a transcript of the testimony and be given five minutes to look over it before I made any moves. XD

To me, it's not about the money. Many innocent people are declared guilty. It's a defense attorney's job to make sure those people's lives aren't ruined. Also, this may be unrelated, but what matters in a trial in the evidence. Anything else doesn't have a place if it isn't supported by evidence.

Unless you've made a name for yourself. A top of the line defense attorney's service can cost millions, while prosecutors make significantly less (though still more than the attorneys that the state hires for people who can't afford a lawyer)
