Their drinks arrived, Noah had a sip of his.
Silence again.
Sandra was tapping her foot, as Noah read a sugar packet.
"...If people want Splenda to taste like sugar because it's made from sugar, why don't they just use Sugar?" Noah asked.
"You know, I wonder that myself sometimes." Sandra said. "The Sweeteners aren't actually sugar and they have less calories and things but if this is supposed to be 'sweetener' why use actual sugar?"
"Exactly!" Noah replied. "It's completely redundant! ...Man, this is mundane. I feel like we're in that episode of Scrubs last night-"
"I LOVE Scrubs!" Sandra interrupted. "That show is the best!"
They talked for a long while about all sorts of things.
