The people that popularized the pairing in the English fandom are regulars on this forum--and I'm a huge fan myself. Perhaps we could refrain from insults as to how "stupid and baseless" it is? Disliking it is fine. Not understanding the appeal/where it comes from is fine. But, though, you probably didn't mean to, you sort of implied those that saw the pairing had absolutely no basis for it--which I don't think is true for any pairing.

As for me... I don't like Phoenix/Maya that much. I wouldn't say hate, because I tolerate it and I see why people think it.
