Thanks. I try to maintain that aspect in real life too. I am as honest on here as I am in real life, but I find myself being alot more open on here, unless I am talking with my mom. I may sound nerdy, but I have a very close relationship with her and talk to her about everything. Even about my pathetic love life! lol. She doesn't mind listening to me though. We talk alot and I really do enjoy it. I know I'm branded as a momma's boy, but I could care less about it! There are so many things I feel that I can talk to her about than I could about anyone else. I hope when and if I find a girlfriend, I can have an open relationship like that like I do with my mom.

@Dully-Yup. I have a really close relationship with my mom too (although it's been waning, lately). I do hope that would be the same with whoever I got together with. If I ever do. If not...then that would be an incredibly awkward relationship. From the various sitcoms I've seen, keeping secrets and info on your life from your loved one is one of the quickest ways to drive a wedge between you.

@ SuperMuffin: I always find that it is so much better to be truthful with someone than to go around and lie about it. If the truth hurts, I feel its better to tell a person outright than to lie and have them find out about it, because that will always hurt them worse. If I ever find a girlfriend, I plan on being completely honest with her and let her know that I will have nothing to hide. I prefer building my relationships on trust more than anything else. I just hope she will be the same way.

@RV-Hm...drawing attention...well, how about you go up and start a conversation? Show her that you are interested in her, show her that you want her to notice you and that you aren't some backround person, and things might get better.
(Look at me...I sound like some Dr. Dating. Even though I've never dated. But still-striking up a conversation might be the best way to go.)

@Super Muffin: I agree. If you aren't going to give a relationship your all, why get involved in the first place? I just hope that when I get involved, I can be dedicated to her and develop a great and trusting relationship. And when and if I ever marry, I want it to be for life. I don't wanna be one of those couples who only marry based on passion and divorce a few years later. I believe honesty is a big major part of a relationship. It helps to develop trust which is pretty much the foundation of a relationship. Honesty and trust are some of the main things that I wanna look for in a relationship. Without that, I don't think it would really be necessary to pursue a relationship.

My problem at the moment is that I think I'd like to know this one girl better, but the problem is that I don't know her at all at the moment. She is also two years younger than me. I don't really know what makes me interested in her. Maybe the way she smiles, maybe the fact that she looks comfortable and interesting, maybe the fact that she looks like she could be my type. I don't know, but for some reason I'd like to get to know her better. The only thing is I don't know how to approach her, at least when she's a friend of a friend and I have no other connections to her.
Well, maybe I should just live day by day and just hope for a miracle.

I would just hate it if I lived in an area where all girls were like that. In a way I'm happy I live in the biggest city in my home country, so there is many personalities. Maybe there's even someone just like me, who could be interested in me too.

Yeah, I'm 18 myself too (19 after a month) and I still remember how much less I knew about life for example three years ago than now. It's pretty strange how much one learns about life and him/herself in a year. For example I started to realise what I'm interested in and what I can't stand about a year and a half ago. Now I'm pretty happy I haven't talked to any of my crushes because I know now that those possible relationships would never have succeeded. I hope I find someone who shares my opinions and interests.

1. I'm shy a REALLY person too, but somehow I manage to talk about these things over the internet with no problem. I don't really know why that is. But I do understand if it's hard for you to talk about these things and in that case I won't ask anything about it. I do respect other people's privacy after all.

2. I don't see any problem there. Well maybe because I'm straight and I don't judge anyone by their orientation, but still...
After all, that's why there is those rules (about getting a partner and the respect others rule). So at least I won't go saying you're an idiot or anything like that. And again, I do respect your privacy, so if you're not comfortable in talking about this matter, I won't ask you to do it.

Asking somebody out should be about feelings, and not loving somebody back is not a crime, if they do it with such force however it can hurt. Now if you want to abandon your feelings for that person and sue them ("I care for you only if you care for me"), go ahead. I think it's good you didn't press charges- somebody you possibly liked back then (though I don't know how much) standing in court and possibly paying you a high sum leading to her own ruin, I don't know.
