My dad works at Pizza Pizza, so my weekend = lots of pizza.
In grade 5 French class we had a unit about pizza. There was a funky song, chorus goes like:
"Laaaaaaa, la la la
Laaaaaaaa, la la la
Laaaaaaaa, la la la
La pizza!"
I still remember it to this day...and it's been 10 years.

My favorite place by far will always be the local joint in dial-up land <3 omfg, that stuff is heavenly.
Worst pizza ever is Pizza hut XPPP nasty shit, I've never liked it, and thats the only other pizza alternative in dial-up land (so im usually not happy when someone "goes to get pizza' because they're cheap and wont go to Jerry's XP)

The Domino's in Taiwan have an interesting phone number: 2882-5252. 2 sounds like "hungry" in Mandarin, 8 sounds like "I", and 5 sounds like "hungry", so the number literally sounds like "Hungry, daddy, hungry, I'm hungry, I'm hungry".

Is it true that in New York people only eat pizza with cheese? My economics prof was giving an example of a bad business idea. Apparently there was this Canadian pizza chain that decided to expand their business into the States. They went to New York and opened up their first store. They made their cheese pizza with no toppings ridiculously cheap while making their toppings cost more. Since New Yorkers love pizza with cheese and nothing else, they're happy to see the low price and bought a lot. The owners of the chain didn't know what hit them and wondered why no one wanted any toppings. That made them lose a lot of money and in the end they shut down. MORAL: Research the demographics and preferences of the people in the region before starting a business.

It's to good for words. The guy who sells it is Italian, so I always have to bring someone with me who speaks Italian. Whenever we spot him from our office windows, we go crazy.

The small town I was from was almost entirely Sicilian, and they made their own sauce, and it was VERY MUCH NY style pizza. The town had ONE grocery store, one liquor store, one hardware store, and about 5 privately owned pizzerias.

I don't think I've ever had authentic italian pizza, when I go to italian resteraunts I always go for the spaghetti, fettuccine alfredo or the sea food (calimari ftwwwww <3)

Heh, true italian restaurants are amazing. That's what I miss the most since moving to another state. Down here where I am now, the only italian restaurants are chain restaurants, and aren't that great.
Spaghetti Warehouse was this one place a few towns over from ours up in NY. You ordered your food, PLUS you had a giant bowl of spaghetti for the table. with free refills. Yes, a giant HUGE amazing bowl of ALL YOU CAN EAT spaghetti, on top of whatever else it was you were ordering!

Such truth! It's amazing how the pizza at just about any random Pizzeria in New York is better than that of any chain. That's why, despite the fact that I still see the commercials, I have never seen a Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Dominos, or any of those other pizza chains in the city. It's also why if you travel, you sometimes see stores advertising "New York Style Pizza". Ha! Oh it's going to be sad when I have to leave the city to go off to college in September...
The only place I've had better pizza than here is this one store in Rome. They served these square pizzas which you folded up and ate. It was absolutely the best food I've ever eaten. I didn't much like the rest of the pizza I had in Italy, but I think that's because they mostly had really really thin crust pizza which I don't like that much.

When I lived in Brazil, I got my pizza from three sources: Di Piu, Atollini, and Pizza Hut. Di Piu eventually got nasty, but Atollini and Pizza Hut are still heavenly. Note that this is in Brazil. America's Pizza Hut is nowhere near as good as the one where I ate.
Actually, most pizza places in Brazil are fantastic. Even the ones by the roadside in the middle of nowhere. I've only been to three places where I didn't like the pizza- two of them abused the sauce, and one had bad cheese.
Now that I live in the US, I am completely unsatisfied with the pizza here. Domino's? Papa John's? Can't stand them. There's one pizza place near here (that I won't name or else it'll give away my location) that's pretty decent, and that's usually the one where I eat. I'm also ok with the Pizza Hut here. (although like I said: Brazilian Pizza Hut is FANTASTIC.)

I'm seriously plain though. The only kind of pizza I'll eat is cheese. I do like other kinds too, but it's my favorite. Our Pizza Hut is pretty good I would say, but my favorite place to get pizza would probably have to be at Mazzio's, an italian eatery. There pizza is yummy.... I just hate the grease! ><
