I'm very nervous about writing my first Maya/Phoenix fic, if you guys could let me know you're opinions about a few things, that would be cool.
How do shippers and PW fanficcers generally feel if I wrote the fic ignoring the official timeline/actual events before/in Apollo Justice? I haven't even completed 3 yet
I would be inventing a whooooole epic drama story/So if you could give me some pointers on how to keep the characters in character, what dramatic situations would be TOO dramatic... etc..
Thanks a lot guys! I'm just new to this fandom, not really sure on the general underlying, not rules but... guidelines...

There's no problem with ignoring the official canon story, so long as you make sure that you mark it as such. (as an Alternate Universe or AU)
For me, the key to writing a good fanfic is to keep the characters personalities the same as they are in the original story. Play through the games again and study what the characters say and do so you can get a handle on the character. You don't have to keep their personalities utterly exact in your story - things happen which can change a person's personality somewhat - but if you are going to change a part of their behavior, try to let us know WHY they are acting this way.

Ahhhh, Well, what was mentioned above is good advice really. I don't care if it goes by the orginal story really, as long as the characters are the fun little persona's I know and love.

I would be inventing a whooooole epic drama story/I would second Geodude and wait till you have completed the games before you write about times in the games you will imminently but not yet have completed. Only because, well you can get attached to your fics and having the canon totally contradict them can get a bit disheartening, I somehow am convinced all my fanfics somehow happened..not to mention a whole lot of other peoples' fanfics really happened...
That was funny. Obviously Maya was hallucinating from hunger. Never mind, Nick kept her company...
I just wrote another fanfic. It's even G-rated. I wrote it in about 10mins so it's not the best, but, it is Nick x Maya.
The request was thus:
So on this very horrible day, I ask a request.
Phoenix x Maya. Bathing suit shopping.

Also for your viewing pleasure, I found the first fanfic I ever wrote with Phoenix and Maya, back in Feb. Haha it's awful. I suspect I haven't improved though. This request was for 'Phoenix has a real Phoenix alter-ego' so obviously, what could bring it to the fore more than some waterfall training with Maya? It's a bit sketchy on AA4 details, since I hadn't played yet...
