I thought this episode was a bit confusing to be honest, it was incredibly basic but done in an incredibly complicated way. The doctor changing in this episode was a bit of a suprise though, farewell David Tennant, if you're really gone that is. On a not really related note, I found the red dalek rather amusing for some reason.

I don't think it's the end of Tennant, can't be sure though.

Another good RTD episode though... what's come over him?

I like how Davros still looks as tacky as ever...

I had a severe attack of nostalgia.

I'm betting that one of the 3 companions (Rose, Martha and Donna) are gonna die in the next episode (hopefully, it'll be Donna, as she's the least likeable in my opinion).

That was either brilliant or rubbish, and I can't tell which.

I'm leaning towards 'rubbish.'

Yesterday's episode was trying too hard to be epic. I seriously saw the daleks coming. I don't think David will completely regenerate. There's still something on Donna's back, maybe she will go back in time and save him and DIE only to go in the same cycle. [/sarcasm]

Bah humbug.
I disliked that episode ALOT. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it's the WORST ONE YET.
First of all, the Bad Wolf cliffhanger was resolved really badly. I mean, it was one of the BEST CLIFFHANGERS EVER, and I... well, I dunno, I just didn't like the resolution.
Second, it felt like the whole episode was trying to build up for next week's episode and there wasn't really anything going on. I mean, it kept exaggerating that EVERYONE'S HERE GUIZ and THE DALEKS ARE HERE GUIZ. No real plot development.
And last of all... the Red Dalek's voice just sounded silly. I mean, yes, the Dalek Emperor had the same voice, but it suited him. He was a great big 9 metre tall metal monster, of course it suited him. But the it didn't suit the Red Dalek, who was the size of a regular Dalek.

The only thing I liked about the episode was Dalek Caan, who sounded epic and gave epic lines.

2 things, thing 1 the episode was bad... it was trying to do too much and did it too fast for any recognition of actual plot or story line. thing 2 the series is going through doctors too quickly, there are only 13 regenerations if i remember, and so far 3 in 4 series', safe to say none of Torchwood will die, they've hardly got enough member to continue the series again, i mean with fans recognizing the characters, the BBC don't want to lose money...

I think RTD is getting rid of a doctor to make Moffat's job harder.

Either that or when they use the doctor's hand to keep him in the same form (I mean, the shot of it at the beginning made it glaringly obvious there's a use for it in the episodes) they'll say it doesn't count as a regeneration.

Given that there's only gonna be couple of episodes next year, starring Tennant (he's contracted to make appearences for the Royal Shakespere Company, for most of 2009), that's pretty much a given! :welly:

But it'll be interesting to find out, nonetheless.

i don't know if there will be a new Doctor in the next episode, but i found this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1030537/Whos-Who-Robert-Carlyle-tipped-replace-Time-Lord-David-Tennant.html which suggests that Robert Carlyle is going to take over David Tennant in 2010.
These are just rumours, but i do think that David Tennant will step down in the near future.

I'ma gonna have to stand up for last saturday's episode. It was very good, and even if they did try a bit hard, it was quite epic. You all have a lot of questions regarding the plot, i.e. where the badwolf TARDIS went, is there a new Doctor (I don't think so) etc. and are complaining because there were holes in the story, but lets not forget that tomorrow's episode it 20 minutes longer than usual. I'm sure they will have though of everything.

I do have one dilemma I am struggling with, which I hope will be addressed tomorrow. If Caan saved Davros, he would have been alive since the Time War, no? So wouldn't the whole Cult of Skaro 'only Daleks left' thing never have happened? Surely everything with the new Daleks in wouldn't have happened. Wouldn't TARDIS controlled Rose have seen him? Or was he also in the Void?
I hope it is resolved in some other way than 'oh, paradox machine AGAIN'. Can't repeat the same trick... surely.

Journey's End met - no, exceeded my expectations.

The ultimate finale - all loose ends tied up, emotional scenes and and epic final battle. Plus it has the single most epic concept for any Doctor Who episode ever, a plot twist so amazing that I shat myself so hard. Two David Tennants. And the ending had me on the brink of an explosion of tears.

So, all in all, the perfect finale. Only bad bit? The Doctor 2 and Rose snog at one point. Blergh.

100 out of 10.

despite the fairly divided opinion I had over the previous episode, this one was really good I thought, the way they got rid of Donna was more tradgic than a simple killing off I'd say. My only real complaint was that Davros didn't get very much involvement in the episode, unlike say the master from the last series.

Didn't like the second Doctor, kinda takes the specialness out of him. Also didn't explain the fact that the cult of Skaro being the last ones left would simply not be true as Davros was saved, but ignoring my OCD for perfection, I REALLLY LIKED IT!
Ending was sad, tragically so. But can the Dalek's REALLY be gone? I predicted it I know, what with Davros coming back, but it can't really be?
Anyway, they've fixed what the 'Daleks in Manhatten' double ep did to ruin the Daleks, and for that I am content. These were proper Daleks.

I don't get the hate for those episodes (the Daleks in Manhatten 2 parter), I thought they were quite good.

You knew Rose was going to come back at some point. Donna can't, unless they want to risk her A Sploding. She's turned back into a lippy cow, all of her character development being chucked out the window.

I think they dropped the ball on that one, personally.

Thank goodness, that there's no chance of Donna re-appearing in any future episodes. :jazzron:

As for the episode itself, it was simply amazing! Seeing all those Daleks exploding at the end, has been the highlight of the series (though I guess that it means that future series will be Dalek free - which is a bit of a shame :sadshoe:).

It's just that I prefer both Rose and Martha to Donna (because she won't ever shut up, and is too hot-headed for my liking).

Oh, and I'm not scared of someone who I barely know! :haha:

Talking about the Xmas ep, RTD has said it's name is 3 words long-what do you think it could be? :yogi:

"The Cybermen Return"

Spoiler:
P.S. There's also a new mutant Cyberman. It's called Cybershade.

EDIT:
Spoiler: XmasEp
The name is "The Next Doctor".
