My boyfriend was looking at Russian for some reason and told me Trucy meant panties, or something like that, in Russian. Now I have no source to back this up, but if someone could look into it, it'd make a nice add on to her profile at the site wouldn't it?

I ran 'panties' through a translator and got 'ТРУСИКИ'.
Can't read Russian gibberish though. But I think you
might be right.

I don't know, I looked up a Russian romanization chart and it tells me that ТРУСИКИ = Trusiki. So close, but no cigar. That's rather interesting, though. There's a possibility that it might derive from that word, but Russian isn't similar enough to English for this letter combination (T-r-u-c-y) to exist.

I've heard some people say Trucy comes from "True + See", but that's a bit of a stretch IMO.

I agree on that. It might not be entirely close but considering
the meaning it can't be a coincidence.

And if you turn around the name you get 'see through'.

I wouldn't be surprised if "Trucy" is somewhat derived from that Russian word. It makes sense, and would fit with the humor and/or logic the writers use in making up a lot of the names. Plus, IMO, "Trucy" as a name is slightly more believable than "Trusiki" when it comes to English at least.
