It's nearly complete. I had to hold back for some patches and stuff. I promise It's gonna be up real real soon! It's 99% ready.

I'm assuming you created it with the v1.3 case maker?

I'd also point out: The reason DDR Khat is taking a bit longer is because I'm trying to see if I can finish cross-examination before he release it.

Pretty cool. I got lost at one point in investigation, where you have to ask about the victim once more, as it hasn't been un-tagged to show that it could be re-asked.

What is missing so far:

1) When the court started, the court overview showed up at the lower screen.
2) No differenced text-colours seem implanted.
3) Larry's *gulp* animation doesn't have talking frames
4) 'Present' doesn't dissapear when pressing.
5) During Phoenix's thinking, he still talked out loud.
6) In the court records, the 'retrieved by...' for one of the evidence products, by Gumshoe, has his name out in the far right.
7) No Eye-zoom lower screen blazed-court during startup of cross-examination. (mostly my fault, sorry :sadshoe: )
8) When moving backwards to the first statement of the cross-examination, the cross-examination music restarts.
9) ...Kitten isn't centered?
10) No presenting evidence yet - neither in, nor outside of court.
11) No examining backgrounds yet.
12) The name text doesn't shrink when too large to fit.
13) The text for the questions to be asked seems.... off. Doesn't resize either?
14) No profiles yet.
15) When recieving evidence, it doesn't show the sliding piece on the upper screen.
16) When pointing at buttons, a suggestion would be for them to light up.
17) When recieving evidence, if you go into the court records at that very moment, it hasn't listed the evidence. Only after pressing the button and going PAST that text the evidence will pop up.

That's it, as far as I can see. Adore your humour! :gant:

If you actually play the game you will find sometimes this is the case.
Spoiler: Phoenix Wright:Ace Attorney
Key example, Case 4 with Edgeworth.

Mikker wrote:

I will look into this and fix this.
Mikker wrote:

This has yet to be implemented by MechaBowser.
Mikker wrote:

I ran out of time to try and find talking for it.
Mikker wrote:

Another thing for MechaBowser to sort.
Mikker wrote:

Woops, seems I typoed there.
Mikker wrote:

I forgot to fix this before the release. At the moment you cannot do a new-line for the received from line.
Mikker wrote:

I could probabily tweak a way to do this. But at the moment there is no proper way to do it so I didn't try. I would have to fiddle with scenaries to get that.
Mikker wrote:

This is due to a current bug. I wanted to keep you guys at bay so I had to work-around the bug.

Oh yeah. But the thing is, when such a thing happens, the ok-symbol is removed - so it'sclear that asking once more will give a new answer.

I know I posted issues with what I assuned wasb't yet implanted. Just trying to list it all :)

The lower screen animation at cross examinations is my next capping project.

On the witness stand it looked to me as if she was leaning way to the left. Might be due to the area below her being not seen.

examples would be the victims name at the start appearing very large. May just be me. It seemed a tad odd, but nothing big.

Yeah, I think you nailed their personalities.

Nice work DDR Khat. My only complains so far are small ones. Most of them are probably already mentioned by Mikker, and/or have yet to be made by MechaBowser.

- When you first encounter a room, or go into courtroom, shouldn't the typing text be centered at this point? Also, the typing seems to go a bit fast here.
- Shouldn't there be a static looking animation on top of a background if you have not been to a stage yet?
- No colored text. (I already saw your reply. MechBowser has to implement this)
- During investigation, when you talk to characters. If you press court records button, you can still see the little questionable buttons in the background.
- The courtroom view when you begin the trial is on the lower sreen. It shouold be the top screen.
- Kitten does look off center during the trail sesion. (Already questioned/answered about this, but I just wanted to point this out anyway.)
- When the big "Hold It!" appears when you press them, shouldn't ONLY this image shake, and not the entire background screen with it?
- The Judge is missing his hammer/gravel animation at the start of every trial.

- I would list the others I noticed, but they were already answered. :phoenix:

Pretty nice for a demo. Although it would have been nice to at least rise an objection/present some evidence during the cross examination part.

Fixed.

He doesn't have any in the game either. not from the one I just checked anyway.

I've just played through the case and cannot find where you're meaning, please take a screenshot.

Hmm, I'll do that then...

Mikker wrote:

Soon as you finish that, I'll slice it together and put it in the demo. For now, I've done a poor version but it'll work.

Mikker wrote:

She is currently mis-aligned. My bad. I'll fix this soon enough.

Thanks alot. I know it does get a little out-of-phoenix when I've introduced my characters but for the sake of not copying one from the game. I had to.

N-Mario wrote:

I cannot do text alignment yet. Also if you could get the typing speed for me, that will be appriciated.
N-Mario wrote:

Not as far as I am aware. I've not had this in PW:AA. Feel free to check and have video proof..
N-Mario wrote:

This is the same during questioning. It is simply because the "Court Records" background doesn't get applied yet. This is something for Mecha to do.

This has been noted and fixed.
N-Mario wrote:

As far as I'm aware the entire screen does. If it's not meant to, thats another feature that Mecha will have to implement as thats currently not possible
N-Mario wrote:

Added.
N-Mario wrote:

It would have. It was released later today because Mecha was going to try and get that part complete for you guys. However his family dragged him to the cinema so he had to stop work, sorry for that. I promise soon as Objections can be done I will release a new demo with them in as a reward for you all being loyal.

A "Fixed" version of the demo will be released soon. When its up I'll edit the post with it in.

Some other things I noticed:

- Gumshoe's animations seem to be too speedy/fast at times. Particually the eye blinking, I suppose. I didn't really check the other characters animations in this.

- At the start of the cross-examination, there should be zoom pictures of Phoenix Wright (or whoever is the defense), and the prosecutor.
As seen int his picture.
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/193/4580 ... b8.jpg?v=0
Although I don't know if it has yet to be made/implemenetd by MechaBowser. But I assume some simple animation could show this.

These are the sprites from the location that Mecha suggested. I've yet to get to fixing them.

I'm in the process of making a sleezy way of doing this. This has already been mentioned. This is not yet a feature but can be achieved with scenaries.

Hmm...... I've always figured that coding colored text and/or text alignment would be one of the simplest things to do. :eh?:
But I gues that's not the case.

Well, in any rate. Once Mecha's case maker update is released, or when it's more completed than the current one, I would think there would be a new spot/thread on the forums. Or at least, somewhere to post our fan cases. There wouldn't be any need for forum uploads. We would just upload them to file sharing sites, like what Mecha and DDRKhat have done. I suppose. :phoenix:
But I guess thats where the 'present evidence', or 'present testimoney' lies for these things.

Apart from the things mentioned above, the only thing I found odd was:

Spoiler: Plot of demo
That neither Phoenix nor Maya went "Wait, Kitten is the sister of the victim and she's living with DDR Khat? What a coincidence!"

or something like that. Also, it's spelt 'detention' centre (Maya says 'detension' in the demo). Apart from that, I like what I see, and Kitten is such a cool character.

The reason for that WOULD be explained if I could've done objections, as I cannot yet that part of the story will hafta remain a simple ignorance.

As for the typo, thanks, I usually spell detention wrong...

Kitten is my sisters character, she's also a fan of Phoenix Wright. the characters involved in this case are from my family.

This demo case is REALLY done well, it really looks like 2.1's gonna be amazing.

A couple small things though, dunno if it's been mentioned (too lazy to read everything):
- when checking evidence on the screen where you select a topic of conversation, the text buttons still show through the evidence
- when Phoenix (near the beginning) discovers Larry is lying about knowing the victim and the player has to go back to the detention centre, the option to talk to Larry about Ontikarus is still checked
- music fading not implemented yet?

Other than those minor problems, the case maker is really starting to look fantastic.

Yea, the patch of the demo works now. Although the zoom pictures in cross examination seem to move a bit slow. Also, shouldn't they dissapear after time? Looked like from what I saw they were still showing.

Yeah, they didn't zoom into the screen, and they kinda just stayed there. Whatever, it's probably a minor problem.

Also, I would assume displaying a piece of an evidence picture on the games screen would be a sench? :gumshoe:
Kind of like how you display background, and animate characters. You should be able to create an actionlist that makes the evidence icon appear, correct? :eh?:
The reason being because i have an idea, it's going to be a short and simple trial. Kind of funny one though (don't want to give out any more spoilers to my idea), just to only test the case makers engine. :phoenix:

Other than those minor problems, the case maker is really starting to look fantastic.
I am glad I have convinced you that way as this has taken me a while to do, admittedly most of that time was because of bugs but still.
N-Mario wrote:
Yea, the patch of the demo works now. Although the zoom pictures in cross examination seem to move a bit slow. Also, shouldn't they dissapear after time? Looked like from what I saw they were still showing.
As I said, I had to do a work-around because there is no way I can do that properly with the current case-maker, when Mecha comes around next I'll suggest having a ability to do so.
N-Mario wrote:
Also, I would assume displaying a piece of an evidence picture on the games screen would be a sinch? :gumshoe:
It will be a sinch later on as this is a function that will be implimented. Mecha is still creating it though, it's on the to-do list after finishing the Cross Examination.
If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!

[12:33] DDR Khat: so you loose.
[12:33] Der die das Mecha: 3 - finalturnabout.com is down
[12:33] Der die das Mecha: 2 - Court-Records took it from finalturnabout.com so yeah
[12:33] Der die das Mecha: 1 - Evidence plz
[12:34] Der die das Mecha: I win ;>
[12:34] DDR Khat: vgmworld.com/catalog/index.php?table=cocoebiz_music&item_num=94
[12:34] DDR Khat: I win.
[12:34] Der die das Mecha: Damn you, Wright!
[12:34] DDR Khat: You loose again, Edgeworth!
[12:35] DDR Khat: court-records.com actually take it from VGMworld
[12:35] DDR Khat: which gets it from the disc, which is released by capcom.
[12:35] DDR Khat: !SPECIALAWESOMEZOOMINEFFECT! so therefor, Edgeworth! I have all the evidence I need to prove my case!
[12:36] Der die das Mecha: Tsh, tsh, Wright
[12:36] Der die das Mecha: Your evidence, is OUTDATED
[12:36] DDR Khat: What?! *taken aback!*
[12:36] DDR Khat: What nonsense is this, Edgeworth?!
[12:37] Der die das Mecha: Tsh, tesh
[12:37] Der die das Mecha: *Does finger-to-head*
[12:37] Der die das Mecha: It's obvious, mr Wright
[12:38] DDR Khat: !OBJECTION! What does the release date or update date have to do with this? that's just like saying a bullet that killed someone found a day ago is out of date!
[12:38] Der die das Mecha: Tsh, tesh
[12:38] Der die das Mecha: Clearly, Wright
[12:38] Der die das Mecha: Your browser's cache is outdated
[12:39] Der die das Mecha: If you refresh your browser, you find this img382.imageshack.us/img382/9784/turnaboutmechabowsermv8.png
[12:39] Der die das Mecha: Now will you please read it for me, Wright?
[12:39] Der die das Mecha: Number 16...?
[12:39] DDR Khat: Gah!? What is this?!

[12:40] DDR Khat: This is a screenshot that could be tampered with !
[12:40] Der die das Mecha: !!!
[12:40] Der die das Mecha: What's this nonsense, Wright?!
[12:40] Der die das Mecha: Where is your proof?!
[12:41] DDR Khat: *Presenting* It is very easy to download a webpage onto ones own personal machine and change the source-code. There is no proof in this screenshot that that page is upon the webpage itself! *ZOOMINEFFECT* and even that sort of screenshot could be falsified. Without video evidence, you have no case Edgeworth!
[12:41] Der die das Mecha: Gggaaah!
[12:42] Der die das Mecha: I... I... I OBJECT!
[12:42] Der die das Mecha: Clearly this statement has no evidence as a layer!
[12:42] Der die das Mecha: And therefore, it is INVALID
[12:42] DDR Khat: !OBJECTION!
[12:42] DDR Khat: Any evidence as long as it is relavent to the trial is valid! And it already has been proven that this is part of the case!
[12:43] Der die das Mecha: OBJECTION!
[12:43] Der die das Mecha: Your statement hasn't been proven by any evidence! Where is this EVIDENCE, Wright?
[12:44] Der die das Mecha: Can you prove that pictures can easily be manipulated?
[12:50] DDR Khat: *Smirk* I sure can Edgeworth! *presenting* It's right here! sorryyoucantseethisbit/tamperedwith.PNG
[12:50] DDR Khat: On that evidence, please look at track 16 for me!
[12:51] Der die das Mecha: W-w-w-w-whaaaaaaaaaat!
[12:51] Der die das Mecha: What's the meaning of this, Wright!?
[12:51] DDR Khat: *Ubercool smirk zoom* This is a webpage that I have downloaded and modified the source code myself, then taken a screenshot of! *ubercoolzoomin* You could quite have easily done this!

If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!

I wouldn't mind Beta Testing. I've been wanting to make cases for awhile anyway and have some spare time this summer.

I use trillian for my MSN handle.

MSN: (Check my user profile for this) :phoenix:

On weekdays (unless I am out with my family), I am usuaully on from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM EST on days that I have to work. But on days that I'm off work, I'm usually on the computer most of the time. After I get home from work, I'm usually on from 11:30 PM - 2:00 AM EST.

Me and a few others got together and did some planning, thinking debating and troubleshooting.

It has accured to me that there is not many places that, when this case maker is complete, will allow us to post our fan-made cases. and so we got into thinking. What about a site, JUST for that?

fanturnabouts.net is what we came up with, it would have to be a site that would be fan-driven by donations but those that donate will receive benefits. The site would be dedicated to fan-made cases and the case maker itself. I believe It would be a cool idea.
