This happens when you present Phoenix's profile to Maya during 2-2, after talking about her mother and Pearl and all that:

:maya: When did you first get that porcupine cut?

:phoenix: ...Um, it's been like this ever since I was a little kid.

:maya-shock: What? You mean that's the way your hair is naturally?

:maya: I though you had some sort of special "Phoenix Cut" deal with the barber.

:maya: I mean... You usually only see hair like that in a video game.

:nick: (Is my hair really that wierd-looking?)

Chief: You can do that later!
Officer: NOOOOOO! AznPrIncesz!!!!!!

Leet/Elite.

Sal uses 1337 speak, which surprised me as I hadn't seen it much in recent years.

....I'm so glad people still post here (whether legibly or not)....since I'm a few years late jumping on the PW bandwagon.

My favourite moment in PW3 hands-down is the whole thing with Larry's picture ("Are....." "You......" "High!"). FRIGGIN HILARIOUS. I reloaded it a dozen times over.

Most of the gold's been quoted already but other things I liked:

- :larry2: offering a "nice cup of hot water"

- Poor Edgey not being able to fold a crane back in school. It was kinda cute XD

-: (about presenting the wrong evidence) I just thought I'd throw this out there and see.
:udgy:: I'll have you know I'm not a trashcan! -penalty-

- :maya:: (about the Shichishito) One hit, seven times the fun!

- :mareka:(?): He's so honest, he wouldn't steal a glance!

- :nick:(?): We're one step closer to the middle of nowhere.

- :nick:: No reasonable person would call that pile of popsicle sticks a bridge!

(I hope I did that right. I'm drowning in smilies! XD)

All my favourite quotes are Godot's.Because he's badass.:godot:

Spoiler: PW3 Godot quotes
"Blacker than a moonless night, hotter and more bitter than Hell itself...that is coffee."
"Death has no meaning in this courtroom!"
"Humans are afraid of the dark. And yet..at the same time,we're bewitched and fascinated by it.Maybe that's why humans drink the darkness that is coffee."

That's the most memorable quotes for me.:)

This is one of the funniest quotes IMO:

Quote:
Butz: I was at that lodge out in the mountains, looking up at the stars that night.
Edgeworth: HOLD IT! ...
Judge: What ever is the matter, Mr. Edgeworth?
Edgeworth: This one single statement is so full of contradictions... For a moment there, I thought I was going to collapse.
Judge: Hmm...
Von Karma: So, witness? Any idea as to where these contradictions in your testimony lie? Depending on your answer... I may let my whip have its way.
Butz: OK, give me a minute... Well, it was snowing that night so I couldn't possibly have seen the stars. That run-down shack is hardly a "lodge," is it...? And even if the stars could be seen, it isn't like I was there to look at them, right?
Edgeworth: ...
Von Karma: See? You can do it if you try.
Butz: Heh heh heh...
[whip-crack]
Butz: Ou-Ou-Ou-Ouch!

Took it from the case script made by evilbishounen on CR.net.

...what, no love for the 3-5 "bossfight" quote?
:nick: "It would be an istant Game Over!!!"
Also :seeds: UNLOCKED THE INFINITE AMMO CHEAT.
And :edgeworth: commenting on how Dick will tell him what he's thinking about even if he doesn't want to know...
:godot: is awesome incarnate though. "Trite?! Overseas is Light, old men!!!!"

It has to have been said a lot by now, but I've replayed T&T three times (with at least a couple months between each playthrough, obviously) and it took me by surprise every time.

I can't say I usually get big laughs out of GS games; the humour keeps the game pretty entertaining, but it's not usually spectacular. But that one gets me every time.

I just noticed something, and I don't know where to post it. Not sure if anyone noticed it before.

If you examine the bottom left stuff in DeMasque's Hideout, Maya would say:

Maya
What are these rolls of paper
stuck in the trash can?

Maya
“Theft of the Mazarin Stone:

Funny, Adventure of the Mazarin Stone was one of Sherlock Holmes's little stories, and we all know Luke Atmey parodies Sherlock Holmes :P

Ha ha, the funny thing is, that's his "backup statement" when he's in the Security Room. You know, the statement someone makes when you show them something for which they have no script. He also says that with Mask DeMasque (earlier he wonders if it's a girl under there), Ron DeLite, and Luke Atmey.

... Poor guy.

[Paraphrased]

(When you're using the metal detector and you check the sled)

:gumshoe: Hey! That's my badge! I've been looking everywhere!

:phoenix: How did your badge get UNDER the sled?

:gumshoe: It must have been when I was playing in the sled earlier this morning and--

:phoenix: I don't want to hear about it...

also

(When you're using the metal detector and you find gumshoes wallet)

:gumshoe: Hey! That's my wallet!

:phoenix: Then how did the metal detector pick it up?

:gumshoe: Well, I always lose my wallet, so I put a little bell on it!

:phoenix: ... it's empty...

:gumshoe: Well, I always lose my wallet, so I just carry my cash in my pocket!

:phoenix: (Then what's the point of the bell?)

I don't think I saw anyone post these...

OK, I'm late playing this game too, and I haven't bothered reading all 18 pages of this thread to see what's already been posted. But I have looked over a couple.

Has anyone shared Grossberg's FREAKIN AMAZING hemmorhoids quotes yet?

My personal favorite is
"For a minute there, I thought my hemorrhoids were going to explode like Mt. Vesuvius!"

I find it much more amusing when I picture him actually saying it out loud. because I hear it like "... explode like MOUNT VESUUUUVIUS!!"

And Larry, in 3-2 ... (Slightly paraphrased)

[After Phoenix and Maya get a phone call from Pearls at Ron & Dessie's place]
:larry2: Hey, who was that on the phone just now? She sounded like a cutie ...
:nick: .....
:nick: Say bye to Desiree for me.

Well, I do agree with everyone here.
The localization team is BRILLIANT/WONDERFUL/<put your adjective here> !
And that's why I don't even want to touch a French version of the games... (I'm French, so that would be normal to do so ^^)
I mean, we absolutely don't have the impression this was translated from another language... Maybe that's because I'm French, and then some things might not sounds weird to me, but when I play AA, I just feel that's genuine English, as if it was originally written in this language.
And the dialogues are soooo brilliant too, as brilliant as the people who translated them actually...

I plan on replaying both 4 games once I'm over with them, and will try to keep a notebook, in which I will write down every legendary line of dialogue... But in a way, I'm kinda afraid, since almost very single line is but lengendary (well, I think the whole games are legendary ^^).

Thank you so much for everybody who posted some of them on this topic ^^
I really love Godot's ones, especially his wonderful lines about life and such, like the first one he says in 3-2, at the beginning of Ron's trial... just excellent ! :uramidn:

By the way, I also have a question...
I recently bought the Japanese version of the first AA... apparently, there is an English translation included. Can someone who has tried the Japanese version tell me if their translation is as good as the one in the US version ?

Bikini: Well, well, well. Let's not dilly-dally shilly-shally. You must get ready for tonight.

Also, Edgeworth seems to say 'fabulous' a lot. Well, twice so far, but I digress.

I heard the English version of the Japanese version isn't as good from a spelling and grammar point of view, but it keeps the Japanese jokes (I think), so there you go.

Well, then I have another little question...
Is the guy doing Phoenix Voice (like when he's yelling 'Objection') one of the people who translated the game (from the localization team) ?
If that's the case, I think the translation is the same as in the US version then, since I don't think they would use him in the Japanese version just for his voice... xD

Well, I'll see what it's like when I eventually start playing the game... xD
I only pushed the button in order to change the language, which made Phoenix yell 'Objection !'... I was sooo surprised the first time I did it, since I hadn't noticed the kanjis meant : Eigo xD (even though I knew them, at least for the 'go').
