I think you deserve a :cookie: for holding out that long. I'm still waiting for someone to respond to a message I sent them in May and I don't think they'll ever be back...

I wonder.... what would happen if you had 50 messages in your outbox? Does that stop you from sending anymore?

Accidental double post? lol.

I think it would... or at least the messages would be "on hold" until you release them and delete older ones.

Oh, I was afraid that there would be NO WAY to send other messages if I filled up the outbox. Didn't realize you could delete the ones in the outbox.
And yes, that was an accidental double post.

I came very close to finding out the answer to that question about the Outbox, thanks to my unique position that had me sending out PMs to 65 people over a short time period. However, since most people read them shortly after I had sent them, I only ever had 45 or so in there at once.

So close...

I do know that when you delete something from your outbox, and the person opens up their inbox, there will be a message from CR saying that the user had deleted the message. I've received a couple of those before. The only option is to delete the message entirely, because the content was lost already.

No, the messages in Outbox even reach over 100%.

I created a new forum for another DS game and Minamimotoism, the newest pseudo-religion, lol. I know here, the only place where advertising is really permitted is the press conference forum. Can I still add a link to it in my signature, though? (I wanted to ask first...)

(I didn't know if the advertising rule was just made to stop everyone from posting their work and creating new topics for it in every forum 561132102316546 times...)

Advertising links are allowed in signatures, because signatures are the representation of an individual. As long as they are not larger than 600px wide times 200px tall and is under a certain kilobyte (in terms of filesize) and is PG-13 (if possible, make it rated E).

And because that you don't advertise non-CR or Gyakuten Saiban/Gyakuten Kenji/What A! contents in the forum's threads.

Does this reply is alright to you?

To make a super simple answer. Yes, you are permitted to have links to other forums in your sig.
The people in VG Mafia have userbars with links in their sigs.

Actually, I think it may be good to partner with CR.
If you look at the front page of CR there is a section with CR's partners.
Our site (I'm helping) was born from CR, it would probably be a nice gesture to do something like that. =)

The Outbox may even go over 100% and that's why we see it as 'does not have a maximum size'.

At the risk of total lameness, what is the policy on topic bumping? Is it generally discouraged or is it allowed at certain times?

If the former, is it possible to ask a mod to "sticky" certain topics (that is, ask and successfully get it sticky'd)?

Bumping is allowed. My policy is that I actually add something when I bump. I hate 2 word posts with a passion so I'll usually say "Bumping to add ..." and go from there.
I'll also never bump more than once in a row. If need be I'll ask someone else to bump it.

Stickying is very rare. It almost never happens so I wouldn't consider that a viable option.

Well, I was asking because I posted something in the advertisement forum--a fanfiction/fanart contest that will go on for a couple of months. Naturally, I don't want to do the one word post bump every time it drops off the first page, but then I don't care to see it lost somewhere in the sea of 24 pages. But I also understand if one link isn't any more special than the other. Maybe I'll just bump my topic every couple of weeks with an update and hope it doesn't bug anyone.

If your contest is Phoenix Wright related I'll gladly add it to our Contest section on the main site for its duration. As for bumping, generally it's looked down on unless you have something significant to add, but in this case it's fine.

The contest is fanfiction/fanart related and open to a certain list of games, the PW arc included. So...yes, it is related to PW, but not necessarily PW-centric. I'm not sure if it qualifies to be in your contest section, but if you put it there, I certainly wouldn't mind. :maya:

I'm sorry if this is one of those questions that is constantly asked, but I don't have much time. Why can't I use the search system? I don't see any search bar, anywhere. Oh, and when I click 'view your posts' it says 'you are not currently permitted to use the search system."

Is it because I'm new around here? Do you have to post a certain number of times before you can search?

The search function was disabled a while ago to cut back on resource usage. Croik hopes to have it back up at some point, though.

That's a bit stupid on phpBB's part, since by merely asking the MIME type you can decide what kind of file are you linking to, and don't thus need to restrict URLs with ? signs on them. Measured with the same coin is the fact that unless an URL actually ENDS on .jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp or .jpeg, stupid phpBB won't accept them as off-site avatar links. I had to manage a workaround on my random avatar script to fling myself outside of phpBB's stupidity and make it work. Image And I think even the img tag works like that. Image [/rant]

I'd like to participate via my messenger programm, but I can't since I don't know the full address of the Dynastynet servers.
