It has accured to me that there is not many places that, when this case maker is complete, will allow us to post our fan-made cases. and so we got into thinking. What about a site, JUST for that?

fanturnabouts.net is what we came up with, it would have to be a site that would be fan-driven by donations but those that donate will receive benefits. The site would be dedicated to fan-made cases and the case maker itself. I believe It would be a cool idea.

I aggree with this message. Would be willing to donate (when/if that time comes). :phoenix:

Hmm, maybe I just don't know what I am doing, but I am unable to unzip the demo case. I figure it needs to go into the projects folder, but maybe I am wrong. Anyway thanks for the hard work, and keep it up!

Actually.... I've found that if you change the scenery's speed from 1 to something like 80, you get a decent speed for the evidence appearing animation. :phoenix:
Spoiler:
I'm doing something similar in one of my demo thingies.

Well, I've been fooling around with the currently available version, and making characters, location and evidence is pretty straightforward and easy. But after that, I have no idea what to do next.

With the current case-maker there is little that can be done sadly, It may be worth you writing down a script to follow in a textpad, plan out the entire case. and wait for the upcoming version to be released.

Something I've made of boredom. :phoenix:
- Turnabout Defense -

Some of the animations are incorrect. Or they are off synch (esp. the talking part of the script). I have yet to fix those, due to the weird animation times this case maker engine uses. :sal:

This just shows off a script of how I've worked the evidence display icon, and some other neato things. Things such as desk slamming, and hammer/gravel animations.

If I ever fix the sprites animations/talk syching issues, I may record it, and upload the video of it. Since there are really no spoilers to say. Since it's basically a test demo case.

Spoiler: Me? A Beta Tester?
Althogh..... I'm unsure how Mecha Bowser will feel about this (since I couldn't really ask him if its okay to send .EXEs of my demo case), since it's a really small demo case I made using his current engine. It is only an .EXE of a demo case anyway. I don't see why it could be a problem.

I would like to see how a testimony part is created. And if you think that's boring, then maybe you can show a quick example of the investigation. Your choise :nick:

Spoiler: DDR Khat's demo case

Take note that this is merely a Testimony by itself and does not display how to do presses yet. I will make another video when cross-examination is completed.

Be sure not to rush like I did with this video, you will make mistakes and have to go backwards to do bits you forgot.

Heh, that's really cool. Although you did a really nice job with the english "Igiari!" text, it seems a bit out of place. Did the actual Japanese ones not fit there?

BTW, I had a thought about something, although it might have already been brough up, just can't remember. Anyway, would it be possible to make a builder that converts our scripts/case into a NDS rom so that we could play it on our DS? I was thinking, like the way it builds the .EXE, but builds it as a different file format. Of course you would keep the EXE builder, but make one for fans to take on the road on their DS. :phoenix:
Well, it was just a thought anyway. Probably can't happen, due to the programming engine.

It's the same Igiari that's being used as a smilie, correct? That's kind of a weird feeling... due to the fact that I made the "Igiari!" objection bubble that's being used as a smiley... It's weird seeing something I made being used by other people...

Hmm....... Well, I doubt there will be a tutorial for it. But Mecha's other tutorial examples did have some open source scripts for his works. :phoenix:

Just of curiosity, are we allowed to post our own open source tutorials for the case maker? I kind of had an idea to update the tutorial for court scrolling (with characters) & include one from witness stand to prosecution, etc. Also thought about making tutorial for evidence display (which fixes speed, etc, for the current engine, for the time being), and all that, just to help the progress along a bit. :phoenix:
If that doesn't help, maybe I can throw in a couple of Judge specific animations, like an example/tutorial of the single hammer, or three hammer hit, or passing a verdict, etc.

Another thing I just thought of. How easy would it to copy/paste programming code to work the profiles? You already programmed the evidence part of the engine. So I would think it would be just as easy to include the Profiles of the characters. I say the Evidence and Profiles work really similar to each other. The only differences are the images, and descriptiopns. The way they work should be very similar, which is why I was thinking it could be simple cut/paste job. But don't think I have ever coded with MMF before, so I wouldn't know. :sal:

doing fan-cases for the ds is already possible. You just have to google it and obtain a legal ROM.

Seeing MechaBowser's Teaser demo, does that mean we will have more options for 'OBECTION!', 'HOLD IT!', and 'TAKE THAT!' in other languages? Or did you merely use a scenery tag for 'IGIARI!'? :eh?:

And there will be a true "Objection!" shaking option, I suppose? Because I just animated the shaking 'Objection!' in my demo. But I'm not sure if thats what you did with your "Igiari!".

What do you mean by this? Are you referring to Deufufu's hacking guide? Or is there another one I'm unaware of? I tried googling many things related to Phoenix Wright NDS Case maker. I didn't get any matches, other than retailer games and unrelated sites.
If there is another case maker for the DS that lets you use your own sprites , I wouldn't mind having a look.

I tested this. Not sure if this was intentional, but during a part of Phoenix Wright's Zoom phase, the background turns solid green. Perhaps a transparency error?

Transparency fixed.

As for the fan-cases on DS. I can't recall but I know I've come across it, it decompresses the Phoenix DS cart so you can modify everything then recompile it.

Cannot give the source yet as it cannot currently be done with the current 2.0 available. It will be released along with 2.1.

The translation of Gyakuten Saiban is actually Comeback Courtroom.

Actually..... It means either way.

It translates into EITHER:
- Turnabout Courtroom
- Comeback Courtroom

Why do you think the name of the US cases are named "Turnabout"? :phoenix:

I've made another demo teaser thing. I uploaded it, but have not posted the link yet. (Do I need MechaBowsers's permission/authorization first before posting?) :eh?:
It's nothing that is really majorly spoiler. Just something I made out of boredom. It's on Youtube somewhere. It just has to get updated by the server.
