Actually, nevermind. Your avatar is from Advance Wars, so +10 points for you, and I will answer.
I can't imagine Edgeworth paired up with anyone, really. He seems a little cold and distant, too business-like, for a romantic relationship, if you ask me. I also never, ever pictured Phoenix as being gay. The man fell head over heels for a girl in college, and was noticeably creeped out by the gay chef, Jean Armstrong. I always saw the Nick/Edgeworth relationship as one of close, even brotherly friendship, without romance. Aristotle might have called such a relationship philia, I'm not sure.
Now, with Klavier and Ema, like Herr Blondie said, I could really see Ema just Snackooing the crap out of Klavier the moment he "crossed the line." She's constantly annoyed with Klavier. He is so much of a tease that she must think he is a jerk, a stuck-up rock star. I also think it will take a very, very special person for Ema to want to pair up with. Probably a good scientist. Ema just seems a bit selective with her people. Like, if she doesn't want to talk to you, you'll know it right away.
I also did not feel the need to say this earlier, but I am not a fan of most weird pairings that come out of nowhere, one example being... that Godot/Grossberg thing you posted earlier XD

I agree the basis "next to each other on the smiley page" is no reason to ship it, but I think this could work once it got brought up....

Well, my point is, it's not THAT random. It's implied that they become close friends or whatever.
And besides, even in JFA before Fran was nicer, and when she was all pissed off at everyone, she still took the time to write Adrian the letter or whatever, and from Adrian's reaction it didn't sound like a hate letter.....
I'm not saying it was a love letter though, I'm just saying that even before she was nice, she still went above and beyond for Adrian, so pairing them up isn't completely random.

But this thread isn't about compairing pairings. Everyone can ship whoever they want. I was just pointing out that canon says certain things about Tigre/Viola, so if you're going to ship them, you just have to be creative about working with it.
