Suddenly a little girl with neon green hair in a ponytail came up to her, asking her about the matches.
"O-oh...y-yes, I...I'm g-going to be s-seeded...it seems..." She replied nervously, clutching her bear even closer. She stared at the girl, but as if frightened of her.

But the idea of fighting Sayuka stirred his blood. He wasn't looking for a fight without reason. He was out looking for someone who he could care for considering he thinks being alone gets irritating because his alarm clock got annoying after the first week. Then again, he had the rush of the race too, so his car was the only thing really keeping him busy.
"Sayuka, huh? Looks like I'll have fun today. Let's see if I can waste mister Reiji quick enough."

The bell sounded... the match was underway!! Reiji didn't waste time... he charged at Orochi, unleashing a fierce low kick to the side of his leg, then he would follow up with a quick jab to the solar plexus... then, a swirling roundhouse kick to the head... it wasn't much of a start, but it was still the beginning of the battle after all. Things were sure to heat up as it progresses.

Suddenly she felt someone patting her head. "Oh umm... thanks?" Minny never really knew how to respond to someone calling her 'cute' but it was a compliment so she couldn't be mean. "Well I guess it's going to be fun, we get to watch the other fighters, well, fight." Minny said, then a thought came up. Well they'd better be able to fight, if not this tourney is going to be WAY to easy and not any fun at all. They probably will be able to fight though...
When Minny looked around and saw another person looking at her, smiling. Then the person said something but she didn't quite catch it. Am I really that entertaining?

Using both arms to block each blow after feeling the shock from each one send him back, Orochi put up a tight defense. Once he had some reprieve, he sighed in a relieved manner.
"That's some nasty speed there. Better than last year's roster I can say that much."
Shaking off some of the lightning burns, he dusted off his jacket. Taking a rather relaxed stance, he leaned back as he projected elemental copies of himself to strike Reiji.
The first one was a black fire launching a heavy punch. The second was a wind, using multiple kicks each in a slashing pattern (think Genocide Cutter). The third was an earth copy, ramming into Reiji with all its weight. The final one would enhance the Earth Copy, making the velocity worse, then ramming THROUGH it to send him further. After they were launched, Orochi ran then jumped, launching two almost solid gusts of wind at deadly speeds. Orochi was still on his way to being serious. But he did want to show some of the killer instinct behind each strategy he used.
"RESSHIN SHIPPUU-KYAKU!"
Once he recovered in mid-air, he threw fireball to make sure there was that extra tidbit of damage.
"HIDOKEN!"

Reiji, in his fighting experience, had seen some nasty attacks... those Goketsuji twins, Oume and Otane, for example, had some pretty wicked moves of their own. He'd seen ones like Orochi's before, but never had been on the receiving end of them till now... he couldn't get out of the way. And once he got caught by the first attack, he was unable to do anything about the rest as they all slammed into him with a force that sent him airborne and to the floor.
Fortunately, Reiji managed to regain himself long enough to see the fireball hurling at him. He narrowly managed to roll out of the way in time to avoid it by one second. If he was any later, he'd have taken more damage than he previously had. That was a close call!
Oyama still felt the pain from the previous assault, but he wasn't ready to give up just yet. Kipping up to his feet, he'd perform one of his other signature attacks as Orochi came back down to earth... he'd launch himself forward, jutting his elbow out and slamming it hard into his opponent's chest, then as he came back down, he'd land on his hands, and throw his feet forward for a second blow to the chest to sent Orochi reeling... landing back into a stance, he'd follow it up with a fireball of his own... well, it sort of used to be electrical. But that kind of changed later...
"GEKISHOU HADOUHA!" He shouted, generating the fireball with a sweep of his arm, then quickly slamming it forward with his palm to send it rocketing like a missile at Orochi.

"ASUNDER STORM!" The wall sunk back into the ground as the fireball was barely deflected.
He then spread his arms back, then thrust them both forward, sending a giant wave of lightning and wind back at him.
"Blitzkreig Wave!" If this kept up and he was forced to go serious, off goes the jacket. But he could sense the damage that Reiji was taken. And comparing it to the damage he took, it seemed rather severe. But he knew if that he got the slightest bit cocky, he'd get burned and badly. Reiji was beginning to cause his blood to burn. And once his blood decided to go ablaze, Reiji wouldn't want to stick around because he'd be on fire too.

Reiji, you idiot! What are you doing!? He thought to himself, clinching his teeth as he fought off the pain, How could you let your focus break like that? He rose his head back up as he pushed himself back into a stance, Sorry... He then apologized to himself in his mind, It came faster than I realized...
He thought to himself... tried to assess what was going on at current. That was the blow that really took a lot of strength out of him, and it was taking more to endure the pain. He had the feeling that Orochi was only warming up... if he was fighting like he was now... what if he got really serious?
Perhaps... Reiji was out of this guy's league. He had to think hard... did he really want to get severely wounded? That would totally suck. But fighting onward would be rather foolish at this point... especially when he had already taken so much damage...
It took all of 10 seconds for Reiji to decide. He walked up to Orochi and bowed in respect, "Ungh... I apologize. I have underestimated you. I know when I'm licked, though... I hope you won't take this the wrong way, as I've decided that I'm giving you this round.
You are a worthy foe. I can only hope I'll be as strong as you are!"
(Yeah, sorry if this sounds like I'm wussing out... >_>; It's not my intention, though.)

Pushing him away, he gave him a thumbs-up.
"But, because you took the loss like a man, that earns my respect. Get some rest and watch the rest of the tournament. If I don't blow the place up like last year."
Laughing, he just waved goodbye to Reiji as he took his win and walked away.
That kid'll have potential... if he doesn't die before he hits it. He thought as he heaved a sigh of relief.

"Congratulations, Orochi!" Komugi announced, "A winner is you!! Hahaha, I love saying that. Now then... it's time for the second match, people... and it's sure to be just as energetic as the first round, if not moreso... now then, shall we begin...?
RAHFKA! YUNGMIE! It's time for your battle...!"
Yungmie heard Komugi's announcement... was it that time already? My, how the seconds pass... she turned to Rahfka and nodded, "I'll be waiting for you on the battlefield."
With that, the girl headed off to the field to await her opponent.
Sayuka would greet Orochi as he returned.
"Nice fight... I was kind of expecting it to run longer, though," Sayuka said to him, "But no big deal. Those were interesting techniques you had there... never seen anything like `em, I have to admit."

No sooner said than done... Yungmie stepped into the arena with Rahfka. She adjusted her sash for a moment before getting into her usual fighting stance... she had fought some pretty tough opponents before... like Karnov, Ray, and of course, that weirdo Mizoguchi... she was hoping Rahfka would be more than that. And looking forward to his potential...
"Are we ready?" Komugi called from the speakers, "Go!!"

It all depended on whether his opponents would accept weapons or not-- he couldn't necessarily go against an unarmed enemy unfairly.

She charged forward this time, throwing quick low kick to Rahfka's left leg, then a following kick to his midsection. She then swung the final kick at the side of his neck to perhaps send him reeling... if, of course, he didn't duck it, that is.

She was being a little playful to lighten the mood of the fight, of course. Yungmie rather liked Rahfka. In the brief moment they talked, she felt some respect for him.
