I picked up City Folk yesterday, and it was definately enjoyable. I made my town (named it O-Town, as my original choice was now one letter too long), did all the chores for Nook, and then later that night ButzPuff and I visited each other's towns. I tried out my WiiSpeak, and it seems to work pretty well, though BP thinks it distorted my voice a bit. It was still fun, though, and that's mostly what matters.

It did distort you voice a bit when you used the Wii Speak. I don't why but it could be for any number of reasons.

And since you have, did you notice any Headphone ports on it when you set it up?

SNK wrote:
I'm gonna get it till christmas (hopefully). I have a question, though...how many characters can your town have? Like, how many letters? Cuz I got a pretty good name on me, but it's kinda long...

4 Characters and I Believe, 8 Letters in a name.

You are very welcome. And there is no rush posting your pictures, I only have one saved myself at the moment. I'm waiting for my SD card to arrive first before I really go shutter"bug" crazy. :knock-knock:

It sucks to not be in America or Japan. Franklin the Turkey (and the Harvest Festival in general) is epic win.

Anywayhoo, I'm getting 20 billion problems trying to send my photos to my comp. However, I just found out my dad has an SD reader, so ^_^

It takes time to get stuff from Franklin, just be patient. I know this too well, I've got about 5 complete sets of Harvest stuff in the original Animal Crossing.

And what is the problem you are running into? :yuusaku:

I can't figure out how to send it through Photo Channel. On the regular Wii Message Board, it says I can only send photos to other Wiis. And AC:CF can't access SD Cards.

It took about 45 tries, but I finally got the full harvest set! :will: Since I have a ton of harvest furniture left over, hopefully I'll be able to sell a lot of it online/to Nook for a lot of money, and I can also hopefully trade it for the rest of the mush set.

Oh, and question: I've got enough money to pay off the second debt, 120,000 bells. Should I put that in the stalk market, or just pay off my debt and go into the stalk market later?

@Bad Player: Congrats on getting a Full Harvest set! I might be able to take some of your hands. I have extra Mush pieces but I still need the Mush Stand.

And never dump too much money into the Stalk Market. I personally suggest waiting until you fullly paid of your house or can connect with someelse's town whose Nook is selling at a High Price at the moment. It's WAY too easy to lose money.

Well, if you have a friend who lives somewhere that's celebrating the Harvest Festival (or any other holiday, for that matter), you can visit their town to participate, as well.

It takes a while for Franklin to give you every piece in the set. I've been tracking him down multiple times for four hours and he has yet to give me the rug, and yet I have doubles of almost everything else.

If you're going to majorly play the stalk market, as in buying as many turnips as you can and such, you'll probably want the second floor upgrade for the storage space. But then again, if you're just going for a few turnips at a time, you could do it that way. I rarely ever play the stalk market myself, though, so I'm not sure.

Yeah, I've heard that getting the 2nd story is a good thing to do for the stalk market... I'll try that.

I played with Franklin the Turkey and the Harvest Festival last night for little while (as I wait to do some Black Friday shopping) and i have to admit, it was pretty much the same as the Gamecube verison with some minor changes. I did kinda get annoyed that he gave 3 Harvet Dressers in a row but it's still fun. I'm gonna go back and keep going to get the rest of the set that I'm missing tonight.

Also, I need a Mush Stand, Has anyone got one? I've got a ton of mush stuff I could trade for it.

Also, I got my SD card in the mail today. I'm gonna try it out tonight. If you got questions saving pictures with it, ask and I'll get back to you on it.

Plant flowers in places with few flowers and add trees in areas with a lot of open space. Continue (especially with the trees) until you get the contra-message and then cut down some trees in the crowded places :phoenix:

And I shall keep working on planning my trees like my Triforce of Oranges and Pear Pyramid.

Also, I'll be adding some picture soon when I take some more. I know Blademaster Orca has taken a ton of pictures.

I'll have to upload them all at some point.
Until then I did upload a bunch to an AC Wiki I have been going to/working on regularly since getting the game.

Look out, it's Godot! I wanted to take a picture in the Roost while sipping coffee, but apperantly I spent my cup earlier that day. Bummer. Again, thanks to my cousin for the nice Mii face. The shirt was mine, at least :p

Here's a map of my town. I was hoping for an island with my house on it, but in the end I settled for the first island I got. I like the town, it's very versatile. And there's a small passage to the far right - I'll make it my creepy back alley 8)

Hey, are someone planning on some quality time with Animal Crossing saturday morning? At least I'm gonna play from around twelve o'clock, so if someone want to visit they are very velcome. I've still just started the game, so my town is not all that interesting. I've got apples, at least. And there is a holiday tomorrow in my town, and I've heard rumours that it doesn't appear for you americans? You are all very welcome (just bring a non-apple fruit, plz :p )

Name: Ole
Town: Olebygda

EDIT: Oh yeah, when I say twelve o'clock I'm talking GMT+1 :)

So if anyone wants to visit my town please let me know! I'm not going to publicly share my FC in the topic just because I'd rather go by PM to remember who I need to add.
(If I add you I'll PM ya so you know.)

What I thought I'd drop in and say is that I've got a turnips price of 192 today, for all of you who thought your big load o' turnips where long gone. I'm gonna make it after all, Donald. I'm back from the theatre and some Wii Sport-ing with friends and I'm gonna stay up a couple of extra hours now so we get to see ol' K.K. 8 o'clock in America will be like 3 o'clock in the night for me, but whatever ;) I'm taking one for the team, haha.

Also, I belive I did take some pics during your visit; perhaps I'll upload 'em tomorrow. I can't be bothered right now - Photobucket is too much of a pain in the ass.

I just can't get Folkbook to work. I'll try a bit more later, but if it is just as laggy then I probably will ditch the whole thing.

So anyway, I just got home from Serrot, Donald's town. It was really neat to whatch KK together. All this talk about AC beein' (BEEin', huhu) a sharing game suddenly made a whole lotta sense to me, especially when your other guest, Aly, started wearing one of my designs - the Norwegian lusekofte. She even brought it back home to her own town, which means my name will be spread to new users (if displayed at Ables, the clerk will tell you the name of the designer). All these neat details just suddenly pop up; I've never really understood what a great, sharing game AC is!

Great Godot shirt, btw. Fits your avatar quite nicely :)

Yeah, FolkBook is bound to be glichy for the first few days/week I'm sure. (It's only a day or so old.)
It was fun having the two of you in my town, and the fact that you both came from two completely different worlds (in a sense) kinda blows my mind.
She didn't even know what a Court Record was and hadn't even played the Ace Attorney games (yet).
But there we were, listening to K.K. and BEEin'. XD (Inside joke FTW!)
And I even got this!

And for the Godot shirt pattern (that I don't share MWAHAHAHAHA!) I just took my original picture of it from my Don sprite sheet and resized it to fit a 32x32 space, then copied it pixel by pixel to get the shirt. It's a trick that I've been using since AC:WW. :godot:

Haha, yeah sure, I do remember that trick, actually. I didn't have my own AC: WW but my brother sat curled up in front of the computer all the time, DS in hand.

And yeah, it kinda blw my mind to. Half 'n hour before taking the bus to the movies through the ice cold weather, I get a visitor from a texan? Crazy.

And only a day old? Then I understand the problems. I'll check it out a bit later :)

I'll admit it, when I heard the PAL title, I was put off for a while. But now, I'm not sure how, I really want to get the Wii version. Maybe because it's been well promoted, maybe the name thing has passed and doesn't sound so weird, maybe it's because I booted up Wild World again, or maybe because the girl in the trailer is really cute.

I'm going through the whole empty-wallet Christmas phase now, but sometime in the next year, I'm going to get this. Has anyone else gotten the WiiSpeak as well, and is it worth it?
