This isn't really scary or scarring or negative or anything.... just a REALLY strange coincidence.

Well, a few months ago a lady that my mom knew needed a place to stay because the house they were moving into wasn't ready or something. She stayed at my house, along with her husband, teenage son, and two cats. We all ended up being close in the time they stayed here. Then I found out that the husband was a substitute teacher at my high school sometimes. He subbed my theater class, which I had with my friend at school. I was telling her later about how I knew him.

Anyway, a few days ago there was a big Christmas party at my house. The family that stayed with us and my friend at school's family were both invited. I then found out that the teenage son and my friend knew each other. They went to the same school last year and carpooled together. The lady that stayed with us started to recognize my friend too. Funny that one of my friend's classes was subbed by the father of one of her old friends and didn't know it!

So basically, two people I know, unbeknownst to me, knew each other from school last year and hadn't seen each other since then. They reunited at my Christmas party and I realized that we all knew each other.

What a coincidence.

1.) Awkward: I was going to check in on my friend's Digimon club (a thread), and some person under the username manbynature (it's so awkward I still remember it :ack:) posted a humongous picture of a blonde pigtailed anime girl naked--with a penis, and spraying pee or something. And milk was "oozing" from... eh you know. Hey, I didn't observe it or anything. It was just that big a picture.

The post was reported a few seconds later. <_<;

2.) This would count rather scarring for me: there was a building construction just across the road of my school (I was in the 7th floor if I remember correctly. Our school is more tall than wide.) I was just watching them work since I was bored, and suddenly I saw something drop. A person. Really fast. I looked down, and couldn't see the body since passers by were already crowding over.

I don't know if the guy survived, but even if he did, that was scary. And I've already set it in my mind as "the first death that I witnessed".

The most awkward thing I found not on the internet brings to mind the story about it.

In sixth grade, let's see, we were out at recess. A few friends and I were walking around on a soccer field (it wasn't being used, at the time) and we find something on the ground. We thought it was a clicky pen, so a friend picks it up and starts trying to click it. But to his dismay the pen doesn't click. We also noticed that it smelled terrible, but we attributed that to the fact that it had presumably been sitting out on the soccer field for days. He decides to take it inside school to try and fix it, because he needs a pen.

He takes it inside and our teacher that day (an old lady, a substitute teacher) sees it and seems to recognize the object for what it actually is, though she says nothing about it. She only asks a student to take it down to the nurse's office. On the way there, the student ends up vomiting because of the object's strong smell.

We later learned that that supposed clicky pen was actually a "case for an inter-uterary device."

I had a similar experience to MikeMeekinsFan, but since others have been squicked out by it, I won't repeat it. :P

Something stranger, hm...

A few months ago, I was emailing my art tutor about Franco-Belgian comic book series (read: Lucky Luke) and she mentioned 'Asterix and Obelix.' About a week later, my dad found an Asterix book in a parking lot. It was from one of the local libraries, so I eventually returned it.

Lots of graffiti too, probably. I don't know if this qualifies as I wasn't that embarrassed, weirded out, or scarred by this discovery, but working at a certain Chinese restaurant, I was entrusted with the task of cleaning the bathrooms. I soon learned that female customers were the most likely to vandalize their stall walls. "I [heart] Craig" and various other profound statements decorated the stall interior so richly that it was hard to notice the paint for the scratches.

The following incident, however, left quite a painful scar. I had started to develop some tender feelings toward a certain woman in the ballet company for which I was dancing. She knew this and derived great amusement from making me squirm. I grew completely disillusioned with her when one night she brought her good-for-nothing boyfriend backstage and pretended to hump him for my viewing displeasure. They were both reasonably clothed, but my respect for her went through the basement nonetheless.

@Topic: I have the proof that Winamp has a mind on it's own. And that Godot lives in every cup of coffee. Or something like that ...
I just made myself some coffee and let Winamp running, still playing my complete music collection (currently 9600 tracks) on shuffle.
I came back with my mug and guess what song started playing right in that moment?

No need to apologize; you spoke nothing but the truth. It was a lapse in judgment for me to make myself vulnerable to her. I would later learn that I had been right to suspect the integrity of that "boyfriend". I overheard a conversation between her and a couple other girls discussing how he'd broken into her bedroom and trashed it.

This goes in the awkward catagory. On the Summer Holidays, i went to this Machinima class thing at a school. (we were using Second Life) On the last day, they had to cut power to the whole school, so we had to go to a nearby collage (or as we Australians call it, "University") anyway, first, our group were the ONLY people using the internet, so the computer guy says we have fast internets, so i check on speedtest.net for the speed. You know what happens? The download speed of they're internet actually goes off the chart....
Ok continuing, we were using the University's "gaming computers" so of course these were more better (they could play Crysis and such) now i just thought that they were installed, but they were all pirated! It was cluttered with Warez and Torrents. Someone asks if they can copy some of the games onto a USB, so the computer tech guy gives him the thumbs up. Unlike him, 70% of our group didn't bring USBs, so 5 people actually ran off to a nearby electronics store, and brought 15 4.7gb DVDs! Just to put the pirated games on it.

Ooh I have two.

When I was about 11 I had a wobbly tooth (I'm sure that's too old to still have baby teeth...). It finally came loose really late at night and I was so happy that I ran into my dad's bedroom.......

Well I saw him and my stepmam..... making babies.

I'd never been so embarrassed. The next morning they said they were only "wrestling" LMFAO

---

Also yesterday at work I was v. embarrassed. I was chatting to a random colleague and he asked where I'd worked before and I said that I used to work in a solicitors.

Anywho about 10 mins later him and my boss are talking about work and boss says "well it's better than being on the streets".

Random bloke looks at me and goes "you used to solicit didn't you"

:wacky-edgy: :maya-shock: :paynehair: :ack:

:gs4-people:

what................................... the............................... fuck......................

I was like errr..... WHAT? LOL he quickly apologised. :ka-whip:
