and OMG wine is made from grapes -> sooooo, capcom originally made him a wine addict and then changed it after making the sprite cuz theyre like 'hey guys, havent we ruined his rep enough?" so they made it grape juice (IN A GLASS BOTTLE????) I don't know anyone who drinks grape juice from glass bottles.

You are probably correct! When I was kneehi to a grasshopper, my mom used to drink grape juice from a glass bottle....

That's very interesting to me. I guess I'm just so used to the dark ages of anime localization where beer was changed to water. Does anyone have a confirmation of this?

I realized this sometime ago- Gatewater is Watergate when you flip the two words around. As in Watergate the hotel that Nixon got in trouble in- where all the murders happen. Their slogan should be "Murderers Rent Our Rooms!"
Makes me just so sad sometimes. Sometimes i pretend it's not Phoenix because I just can't bear it. I wonder what Pearly has to say to this, hmmmm 
?I remember when every thing was censored- outfits on cards in Yu-Gi-Oh. I remember when this guy punched another guy and they didn't even show it- it was like guy throwing fist in air, next scene, the guy is on the ground with scuff marks.

I recall every time I ever drank grape juice, a small amount was okay, but a large amount quickly made me feel sick. I'm not sure if it's the same for anyone else. However, endless bottles of it would surely make somebody sick... or in some kind of sugar high.
I actually have this doujinshi where Phoenix drinks himself stupid on grape juice and collapses on the floor and has a grape juice-induced hallucination about Mia. Except it's only a delusion.

I hope I only have to say this once, Nick would not be allowed to drink alchohol while working. His job is to beat any challenger at Poker in the begining of the GS4, not so easy to do when drunk I'd assume.

The Harvest Moon franchise has always been rated for children in Japan's standards and E in the US, yet every game is guaranteed to have a recurring troubling alcoholic character with a bar here and there. (what worse being that the artstyle makes a lot of the characters look underage) One game even had an alcoholic father character.

Personally I think Takumi always thought of Phoenix as a drinker (art supports that) but maybe he quit once he had Trucy come to live with him.

XDIsn't steel samurai a kid's show? Isn't a tiny pink piano a kids toy? Isn't that button/camera kind of kiddy?
Just face it Mr. Nick is kiddy, note that he says "I knew you could do it." because it would make a better entrance.
And once again, drinking on the job is something you aren't allowed to do. Plus he's a poker champion, I doubt people can play poker well when drunk. Why do people keep disregarding this?

Maybe "Grape Juice" is being used as a euphemism for wine (seeing as you could technically argue that wine IS grape juice...).
