Hi, there was a video of AAI at the E3 showing some gameplay.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYX4z6nsReM

You can see all the relevant features, but won't get spoiled. It's only stuff from the beginning of case one and Edgy only presents "wrong" evidence and points out a "wrong" contradiction in a picture. He connects the first two facts correctly though, but everyone would have figured that out in an instant anyway.

If you've watched Cory in the House, I guess we can pick a few laughs. :godot: Also, I LIKE the LOGO! It's so cool, yet, almost occupies the whole screen.

Possible reference to the famous star trek catchphrase "He's dead Jim."
...It's kind of a stretch though.

Spoiler: About Meekins
Meekins was seen in a case. I think he was inside a costume. If memory serves right, I think it was the Jammin Ninja costume.

Yep, I think THAT'S Meekins.

Excellent find! The gameplay reminds me more of Hotel Dusk than any previous Ace Attorney game albeit with more concentration on the detective aspects than courtroom battles.

Well, remember that Yuuki...I mean Mr. Portsman (gotta start to get used to English names all over again) likes to nickname his detectives. In the Japanese version it's "Ryou". So I'm sure that Jim is the localiazed version of that, since only Portsman himself says "Jim".

And I JUST realized this...but Jim=Gym. I think that's why his nickname is "Jim"...

I don't know if anyone noticed this, but the text box seems, not very noticeably, smaller.
In the other games there seems to be some unwanted space on the bottom.

... Travolta? ... 3335? ...? Where have I seen that name? :yogi:

So it looks like Yuuki's last name is Portsman. What could be the pun?
Also, Ryu = Jim.
Portsman and Jim. ......I don't know, doesn't have the same ring as Yuuki and Ryu. But whatever. :phoenix:

But Makoto nicknamed his parter "Ryou" because it fits with HIS first name, so the Jim ought to connect to whatever Sportacus' first name is.

Related to the E3 gameplay video, Capcom's press site has updated, we've got some cool resources. Beyond the Illustrator logo, we've got a layered PSD of the art of the bar, and we've got a single layer PSD of Edgeworth talking with dolphins, full art of Gumshoe and Edgy and, both English Trailers.

Crooooooik...

So maybe it could be James =P

Jim is short for James.... sort of. Maybe he gets called Jim and likes everyone to have the same name....

I'm clutching at straws I know.

But my uncles fave name is Jim, he called his son James, and he often changes peoples names to names he prefers (he's not mad though), so at least it's not unrealistic..... heheh. *ugh*

Ooh, that works.

...but now all I can envision for his first name is that he should end up with the nickname "Shorty".

First thing, Portsman calling all his detectives "Shotry" is well... pretty creepy if you ask me.

And second, I'm still sticking to the fact that "Jim" is the nickname, seeing that's it's a very simple nickname and I don't think CAPCOM would be so lazy as to give their characters such a common name...(Covers up "Deed Man")

Perhaps his last name should be "Shortz", then? That way Jim being his nickname would make sense in the context of Mr. Portsman. :redd:

That's an awesome idea!

Well, all we gotta know is portsman's first name then we can see why he likes to nickname his detectives that way...
